Gentlemen, Ford states I can have 1130 on the tounge, so after draining the fresh tank (240 Lbs) I'm within spec. Ford puts out a good guide at: http://www.ford.com/resources/ford/general/pdf/towingguides/11FLMRVTT_F150nov18.pdf I recently lowered the ball height (by one position) as the rear tires on the TT seemed to be getting warmer than the fronts (trailer is a spread axle design) If anyone here is familiar with the Blue ox rig, I'm using the 9th links which gives a noticable bend to the bars. Don't assume the dang thing won't roll even if level! Use the blocks! Was storing my TT at a site and had it all "level", so we thought. Dang thing came off the block and the front jack strut stuck in the ground like a lawn dart. We looked at fifth wheels, for about a milisecond. My father-in-law has one. Bought a 35' TT (13 Keystone Passport 3180RE). #1 We can still haul a lot of stuff in the truck, #2 we don't have to climb stairs to get to the Master Bed Room and #3 We have more useable space than a 5th wheel as don't have the "cut-out" for the kingpin. Also #4 the trailer isn't as high as the comperable 5th wheelers and #5 we don't have to worry about stowing (or storing) the hitchplate when we aren't towing.178Views0likes0Comments
