I've seen many times https://imgur.com/OC4s0RsRe: Tips on asking friends for mootchdocking? When we travel we also visit family and friends. The best solution for us is stay in a campground nearby. Our family and friends don't really understand and keep pushing us to park at their homes, but we don't. https://digital-planner.com/goal/planner We avoid blocking their driveways, tripping fuses because their homes aren't equipped for a heavy electrical supply or having to worry about getting level on a slopped driveway. We don't have to check if we are legal parking on the street or even in their driveway; plus we can dump tanks and have our own space if needed. Seems to work very well for us.Re: Class c coverPlenty of RVs never have covers on them. The batteries, however, I would worry about damage from road debris and the slim possibility of a short circuit or someone dicking with the wiring. Look into modifying the current battery rack to accept boxes. If not, I would try to cover the batteries with something like a rubber floor mat held on with bungie cords budget plannerRe: Regular Microwaves vs RV MicrowavesMost of us don't use electricity for heating since it's inefficient vs say propane. When I've camped in a Class A (think BIG RV) with a microwave we didn't use it that much. So a bunch of space for a few minutes here and there. And since one needs a fridge for leftovers (more power) we didn't use it for that either.Re: Garmin gps / used with good Sam trip plannerSo I just Change from good Sam trip planner to the RV trip wizard planner. It has made my life so much easier. 1. Driving limits:You can ask it to allow you to drive a certain number of miles or certain number of hours per day. The circles of driving distance let you know when to start looking for a stop. Does same for fuel based on your rig fuel efficiency. This feature is super helpful 2. Export Trip. It exports to excel, email, and outlook. Calendar. I did all that manually. Amazing!! In excel tells all comments and costs as well as longitude and latitude. 3. Calculates and totals cost adds park cost and fuel cost per leg and entire Trip. 4. Let’s you filter campgrounds that show up along route. Awesome time saver.Re: how do you follow weather on the roadI use https://en.sat24.com/ - go to Forecast -> Rain forecast maps and select your region. If you move your mouse over the timeline list on the right of the map, you can easily see the situation develop in the next days, and find the best weather conditions for your needs. https://printsbery.com/planner-templates/daily-with-to-doRe: Washing RV while travelingWe take sponge baths, use showers at campgrounds that have them, but mostly use the hot water shower we built into our '97 econoline conversion van printsberyRe: Games on the road?Turn the Tide is an older card game where you're usually trying not to take points which affect your life points. You also rotate hands between each players at the end of each round and it is actually easy to teach. You do need some piles but it's not a tableau game.Re: gps which one is best, second bestIf you like using your phone, you can load a free app such as Osmandor Locus and then download maps. Your phone almost certainly has a GPS chip and can work as a GPS from satellites even when it loses the cell signal. That said, I still like some old Garmin units I have.Re: How are your solar panels mounted?Used the Renogy mounting kit along with well nuts and some rv sealant.
