All ActivityMost RecentMost LikesSolutionsRe: Changing State of residence to Texas ???We moved from Tennessee to Texas, and yes they require an inspection not only on your vehicle, but if you bring a rig in you have to have it weighed, inspected and to get a Texas tag it cost is 125.00. They charge some sales tax if you didn't pay enough in your home state. Our tags in Tennessee were $18.00. They also do not have a state tax. Have your birth certificate or a passport to get DL. If you have a concealed carry permit you will have to take the class again here. look on the department of safety website for more info. BTW our insurance went down but we did have to transfer our supplemental insurance to Texas. We have now bought a house and moved here.Re: where do you winter?We have stayed in Rockport Texas the last 4 years. Drifters Resort, large spaces, lots to do and some of the best fishing around. Staff and owners are the best I have ever came across. Small town, close to Port Aransas and the gulf.Re: Front Storage CoveringThe campground has a red rock on its roads and it is a combination of the dust from the rock and the rain.Front Storage CoveringWe have a canvas enclosure on our fifth wheel, We spent some time in a campground this year that was really dusty and it has stained the cover which is white. We have tried Tilex, Soft Scrub and Black Streak Remover neither will get rid of the stains.
