He said 3/4” screws in ceiling of 2500 work. I installed a curtain track, a lightweight dark showered curtain (shortened) to keep down weight and voila! It worked splendidly.Re: Something I found that is amazing!Actually wood stove works very well. Two couches make king bed. He still uses it winter and summer.Re: Right truck and camper setup for a northern Alaskan winterHave camped in Alaska in -20F in our Bigfoot 2500. We were warm but shot through propane like water. Also, -40 is a no flow in the propane. You would need hookups and an electric space heater as well as bottled water for that (so as not to burst pipes in basement that gets no heat without a furnace blowing. It could be sone with a homemade build designed for winter and a mini wood stove.Re: Quarantine Mods?Ordered a new converter to replace the battery boiler, a battery monitor, and a wireless kit for my happia-jacs.Re: I built some stairs for my Bigfoot 10.4EPlans? Pictures don't show.Ford owner installed trailer cameraThere are apparently two models of this. One is camera only and the other is camera with TPMS. Does anyone have either model installed on their Ford. We have a 2018 with sync3. I am wondering whether the tire pressure system is worth the price tag!?!Re: Glowsteps questionsWas able to install Torklift landing gear to my existing steps. They are exactly GlowSteps minus the glow strips and they have two treads instead of three. The hardest part was getting the washers inside and outside the brackets.Re: Handy Hints, Gadgets, Products & GizmosWow! Nice work, AND solves a huge pain in the back.Re: Carrying a Honda 2000i inside generator compartmentThanks folks. Don't want front hitch mount because we use ferries and added length equals added cost. The gen compartment is prepped for an Onan. We need propane for heat (Alaska) so don't want it used for penny. Looks like I am not the only one who had this thought. It's a go!Carrying a Honda 2000i inside generator compartmenthttps://www.amazon.com/MORryde-SP60-041-Sliding-Battery-Tray/dp/B007HRQBRU Thinking about using this tray to put our Honda on. It would make it so that I could pull out the tray, plug in the genny and go. It is a bear for me to carry from backseat to ground (physical disabilities and female upper body combined). Thoughts? Rated for 250#. Was thinking I would put a thin rubber pad on bottom to absorb noise and keep genny from “walking” in the tray. It would pull out from generator compartment and exhaust away from camper, because of orientation in tray. Would need to take care mounting solidly because stress would be on mounts. Anything else I am missing? Oh, mounting in Bigfoot 2500 10.6
