We bought ours there a couple years ago. They are great to work with and know a lot about sunshades, mats, etc. I have no financial interest in J & J, just passing on a good purchasing experience. Their phone number is 863.241.1374.Re: Florida Golf (without breaking the bank)Don't know much about what it costs to play golf in the Orlando area other than I have been told that it is expensive. There are places to play in Florida that are very inexpensive and the courses are great. The area around Lakeland, Bartow, Wauchula, Avon Park and Sebring has several courses that you can play in the $30 range. I know this isn't Orlando but if you go a little south of there you will find good golf courses with reasonable prices.Re: Alternatives to South Florida in Winter az99 wrote: AliCat wrote: We have wintered in Wauchula, FL, for the past eight years. We stay at Crystal Lake Village and are only a mile from a Super WalMart. Is it a mobile home park? RV Park reviews has nothing. Looking at it on Google Earth looks like almost all permanent structures. Thanx Crystal Lake Village is 80 to 90% permanent sites. The rest are RV sites. Most of those have concrete pads and patios.Re: Protect-A-TowWe have a Protect-A-Tow for our CR-V. It really does a good job. Certainly something like this is a necessity if you want to protect the toad on difficult roads. I believe that should you encounter an "Alligator" in the road it would prove invaluable. I don't like the extra time it takes to hook it up and unhook it. I know it is only a matter of about five minutes but that adds to the overall process of getting ready to go or leave. I've found that as my toad has gotten older I no longer use it for trips of 100 miles or so. I towed an old Mazda pickup almost 20K miles w/o an incident with no protection other than mud flaps. This does not argue against Protect-A-Tow for it is a good product with equally good customer support.Re: 2008 Itasca Suncruiser 33VI just replaced the front shocks on my 2005 Winnebago Voyage 33V (W-20 Chassis). Original shocks were Bilsteins. Replaced them with the new Bilstein shock which has a much improved valving system. The improvement in the ride was significant. Probably the best money we have spent on the motorhome. No more bone jarring jolts when you hit expansion joints and rough roads.Re: Alternatives to South Florida in WinterWe have wintered in Wauchula, FL, for the past eight years. Wauchula is the county seat of Hardee County and still pretty much undiscovered. For those wondering where Wauchula is, it is located about 25 miles west of Sebring. We stay at Crystal Lake Village and are only a mile from a Super WalMart. There are many other stores in town. During all these years we have been treated well when we shop, go to restaurants, etc. We are only an hour or so from Tampa, Fort Myers, Disney and more. The weather is great here and the prices are very reasonable. We visit the coast (west) while we are there and always say we are glad we do not have to put up with that traffic all the time. So, there are still some warm places in FL that welcome snowbirds and are reasonably priced. If you play golf there are fewer places to play that will be cheaper than this general area. It isn't for everyone but of you want a quiet, slower paced, less expensive area check out this part of FL.
