It was connected to my phone via wifi. There was a noticeable delay between the GoPro and my phone. I would back up a little and then let the camera catch up. After a few months I installed a wireless backup camera. I power my camera from the 7 pin plug (connected to the reverse light pin) and the monitor is connected to one the upfitter switches in the cab. The camera only activates when the truck is in reverse.Re: Fuel Usage Difference 2019 versus 2020I have a Ford F-350 V-10, enough said:)Re: Fantastic Fan motor comparisonI'm hopeful that the "Rev. B" printed on the tag on the new motor means it's "improved".Re: Fantastic Fan motor comparisonThank you amxpress. I would be interested if the replacement motor is one of the tall black motors. If it's a flat gold motor I'll have to say thank you but no thank you.Fantastic Fan motor comparisonMy RV has two Fantastic Fans, one installed in the rear bath, one over the bed up front. The FF in the bath has the older (and IMO better) tall motor, the other had the flat gold motor. The flat motor FF has been noisy since new (installed in 2015). I recently attempted to remove the fan blade on the new unit for cleaning but the plastic was brittle and it broke. Rather than just replace the fan blade, I contacted Dometic via their website to find out if an improved motor was available. Dometic responded quickly and stated that the replacement motor would be the same as the motor in my 2015 FF. I decided to take a chance and order a new motor/fan assembly with the hopes that the new one would be quieter (I ordered it from Amazon, less expensive and free shipping). The motor on the new motor/fan assembly is different from my original flat gold motor. The motor is black instead of gold, the housing is different, as is the location where the wiring exits the housing. There is a tag on the gold motor that has ‘Atwood’ and part # ‘8017A-03’. The new black motor has ‘Dometic’ and part # ‘8017-09 Rev. B’ printed on it. The installation was very easy, just two wires and four screws. The new black motor is much quieter, but not as quiet as my older FF with the tall motor, but very close. The new black flat motor has a slightly harsher sound to it. I’ve read several discussions on the forums about the FF tall black motor vs. the gold flat motor. Hopefully this post will help someone if they’re making a decision about roof vent fans.Re: Yamaha Generator questionI have the same issue with my microwave when powering it with a single Honda EU2000 generator. Elevation will diminish the performance of generators (I see Colorado in your username). When I'm camping in Colorado and need to use the microwave I go ahead and parallel both of my Honda's together.Re: Clear As Glass Ice Cubes?Use distilled water......Modifying CARB compliant Honda gas caps (extended run systemHas anyone modified the CARB compliant Honda gas caps when making an extended run fuel system? I have the large diameter caps that click when they're fully tightened on the generator. The CARB compliant caps are two piece and rattle when the generators are running, I would like to modify those caps and keep the new (old style) caps that I ordered from Amazon when I use the gens without the extended run tank. Will the CARB caps be airtight after the modification assuming I do a good job of installing the gas fitting and sealing it with JB weld?Re: Fiberglass insulation that doesn't stay wet or attract mice?Could you use metal galvanized hardware cloth over the insulation to seal off the underbelly section and then install the coroplast? Even if you use an insulation that the critters can't use for nesting, they'll find nesting material and carry it back to the rv.
