BUT it’s narrow blacktop becoming an even narrower winding dirt road not suitable for towing through the Hazen Notch section. Not sure where you are entering VT, but the best route for you would be Route 15 to West Danville where you would pick up US RT 2 all the way to Gorham. You will see some great mountain scenery all the way.Re: Best route through/around Burlington, VTWhat is your destination? If you are traveling RT 7 there are plenty of Exits, both noth and south, to bypass the city. I would not try to tow thru the city via RT 7 - it’s not worth the hassle.Re: best route wjschill wrote: Any opinions as to the best route from Angleton, TX to Abilene, TX. Our grandson will be in the rodeo finals the first week of June. Thanks, Skip You might get more interest in your post if your title specified departure point/destination in your Subject text…Re: Bangor to Crown Point, NYIn addition to being twisty 117 is almost straight up on one side and straight down on the other. A great ride ina sports car, but not very RV friendly. I’ve been both ways many times and agree on 89 to 7. It may be a little slow at first, but after a few miles it opens up and is a fine road with lots of attractions and some great places to eat in the towns along the way. Might even be worth an overnight stay part way along.Re: Soft-sided, collapsable totes? What about a simple duffle bag?Re: RV sulfur smellEven in our small Class B we always use bottled water for cooking, coffee and drinking and the CG water for all other uses.Re: Vt to MEWe often travel from Danville, VT, Best route wold be to RT 2 East from St. J, through scenic White Mts all the way to Newport ME, pick up the Maine Tpk east almost to Bangor, and follow signs SE to Bar Harbor. Much of the road has been upgraded and it is a smooth ride all the way, The only serious hill is just east of Randolph NH, but it shouldn’t slow you down. Mount Desert Island had 4 Million Visitors last year, so if you are going in the Summer you’d best reserve a spot NOW! We always go in the Fall and stay on the “Quiet Side”, so never had a problem. Wish we were going with you!Re: Fall colors in upstate New YorkWildwood CG in NH is a typical small NFS primitive CG. No hookups, no flush toilets, and very small. Not sure your 5th Wheel would even fit in the CG or in the campsites. The last time we were there we camped in a tent and were driving an MG Roadster - even then it was small. There are several nice private Campgrounds in the area, but at foliage time they will be very busy.Re: If you can't decide if you want an RV or a boat“A boat is a hole in the water into which you pour money.”Re: RV Storage Fire Grit dog wrote: 2oldman wrote: From reports on here I see way more mishaps, theft etc at storage lots. Than fires? Than tornados? Than nacho chips? What's your point? Like all the media mostly. It’s the bad news that gets reported and seldom the good news.
