At least I haven't yet. I'll be replacing the other two jacks this spring, salt on the mountain passes here in Washington state did a number on them. They still worked, just the inner tubes were heavy rusted.Re: TC Fitted CoverJust read the Better Business Bureau reviews on National Covers, stay away from that company.Re: TC Fitted CoverHope you have good luck on finding a good cover. I just did business with National Covers and all I can say is DON'T Bother, horrible customer service from Anthony one of their reps. I ordered the Expedition (it's their second best) cover along with the gutter spout protectors, took close to 2 weeks to get to Washington State from California, however, when it arrived I noted there was no shipping invoice and the gutter spout protectors were not in the package, but I was charged for them. Before I called them I checked my emails to make sure I ordered them and they were on the order email receipt and then went to their website to see if they were possibly backordered, nope they are in stock. The funny thing is that the price of the cover went down by $60 during the time from when I ordered till the time I received it. I called them, waited 10 min for a rep to speak to ended up speaking to Anthony. I explained that the gutter spout protectors were not in the shipment and that I was charged for them. He didn't even apologize their mistake and just said that they could ship them to me. I explained that the price went down $60 during the stated time and would they consider crediting me the difference since they messed up the order. All I got was a BIG FAT" NO" and he wouldn't budge. Well, so now I'm returning the cover at their expense because they screwed up on the order and wouldn't try to make it right in some way or another. There are better companies out there!!!! Don't believe their raving customer reviews either since there is no way to actually post a review on their websiteRe: Any thoughts on a repair?Hey, guess the past owner sold you a pile of rotted wood. Maybe you should take it back to him and have a one sided discussion since he knew of the impending doom. Hope it all works out and you can part it out or repair it, Fleetwoods were known to have too many issues, even the aluminum framed Fleetwood campers had issues with weld failures and the slide outs were not properly braced. What fire are you on? I'm an EB for a private contractor in the PNW, looks like a slow year again for us. Be safe out there.Re: VIDEO: Roof Leak * Escape HatchI think I got seasick watching that. Hope you got it fixed and that is why I inspect and repair at least once a year.Re: The ticking time bomb under the hoodHere is what I've read on this pump, Ford and GM use the CP-4 in their diesels. Apparently GM has been paying for repairs should the pump go south, Ford has not been paying for repairs even under warranty. Cummins now uses that pump for the 2020 6.7L, I'm sticking with my 2011 Ram 6.7 with the CP-3.Re: Interesting delam issue - revised 6-24, more picsThe Old Eagle Cap owners website had some pictures of a 1050 being built with a picture of the nose prior to the cap being glued on. Plenty of luan behind that cap. That 1050 was built around the same time as mine in late 2008, not sure how Adventure RV built them a couple years later.Re: Interesting delam issue - revised 6-24, more picsThe exterior Fiberglass walls were vacuum bonded directly to the frame, no Luan used for a backing, however, the front cap was glued to Luan that was applied to the nose. Therefore if the is any kind of leak up there it will delaminate due to the Luan swelling and then drying out. Not sure why they were built like this, should have used Azdel instead of Luan. Azdel doesn't swell or rot when wet, has better insulation value, and does well with many adhesives. Just my 2 cents here, but I will never again buy any camper or 5th wheel that uses Luan for an exterior backing. Lance and Cirrus use Adzel for backing and Arctic Fox uses luan. Not sure what the newer Eagle Caps use or Host as their websites don't say.Re: Electric JacksMy experience with HappiJac is that they are pure garbage. Granted I used my camper in the winter where the roads are salted, owned my camper 10 years and on my 3rd set of jacks and motors, 2nd motherboard and second remote. I have the newer 4800s (zinc plated) and they are just as rusted as my old 4500s and 4600s. Don't drink their koolaide, their jacks do not hold up!Re: Arctic Fox 1163 TRUCK CAMPER Full Tour video !Looks exactly like the plans for the Eagle Cap 1165 as someone posted earlier in this thread. The Arctic Fox 992 was also a direct rip off of the Eagle Cap 995. Arctic Fox is built the old delaminating way, that is filon backed with luan which will delaminate due to condensation on the aluminum framing during cold weather or if you have any kind of water leak. There are other campers built with Adzel and no luan, I shy away from Arctic Fox due to their old school build methods.
