All ActivityMost RecentMost LikesSolutionsRe: 30 amp to 50 amp conversionI would like to thank all of you for your great suggestions. Here are some answers to questions. On this trip it is the pedestal breaker that is flipping. However the trailer breaker has thrown before. as a short term fix I will try the 50 amp adapter cord, I have one and never thought to use it. A replacement panel is not to pricey about 165.00 but more than cost is I don’t want to cut up the wall where it is mounted.. That would be a possible winter project. I have found if your nice you can ask the experts or those who have the experience and work your way through about any problem. Thanks again all!30 amp to 50 amp conversionHi all we have a 2014 Zinger Crossroads and we would like to up grade to 50 amp service. Have you done this up grade? We are tired of the breaker tripping every time the AC is on and we want to use a hair dryer, microwave, ice maker, ect. ect..AC FAN CUTTING ON AND OFF?My AC blower fan will run for hours just fine. Then for no reason the fan will cut off for a few seconds (the compressor still running) then it will come back on and do this several times and then run fine for more hours. What is going on?Re: Brand survey likes/dislikesThank you all great information!Brand survey likes/dislikesMy DW and I are thinking of up grading from a Bumper Tow to Fiver. This is with an eye to possible be full timers. I'm in sales so I've both heard and given BS in my time. That is why I asking folks here to give me their honest opinion. I want to cut out the sales BS. If you have or had a 5th Wheel. If you could respond to this post with Brand Year Model and Thumbs Up or Thumbs Down. If you care to elaborate that is welcomed too. I know this is not scientific but people remember the the build quality and problems for a long time. I was looking at an used Open Range that an older couple had from new in a campground. The bad reviews were so plentiful about leaks and broken sliders on their units I wouldn't take one of those if it was given. I have been in some of the plants in Elkhart and have watched while the guys literally run from one unit to the next. For me there are two main issues, build quality and manufacture responsiveness of the manufacture. If you care to help out with my survey I will thank you in advance.Re: AC Issue I'm not sure?I think it was set to cool. Back home now will try it tomarrow. Thanks for the tip!AC Issue I'm not sure?Last night was hot this morning was cool. My AC was short cycling it would come on run for 25-30 seconds and cut off it did that untill I got up and lower the set point. Has anyone else expirenced this?Re: Front of camper is delaminating....best fix??I pulled the back end of a TT all apart when I found it had been leaking. Mine was a stick and tin unit. That is the way I'd fix this, pull the old front off. get the tin sheets and make the repairs. The TT tin is corrugated making it stronger for the weight. When they first started making the smooth sided units they had many problems getting the bond to hold. If the substrate get moist it swells and breaks the bond the newer units are supposed to be using a better suited material that doesn't swell.Re: Surge ProtectorsThanks to all the posters on this thread in a few short minutes I've learned enough to help me make a decision as to why, and what I need. Now all I have to do is to check out how my pig tail is set up to decide if I go with a perm or temp unit. For those interested here is a web site with a side by side comparison of features. I found it to be very informative. https://www.rvupgradestore.com/rv-surge-protection-comparison-guide-a/279.htmRe: HEY we need a sticky for our TT pics!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
