He has a new high end trailer so I'm sure it must have been a power awning. Heard this second hand from my brother so I don't know the particulars. My last trailer had a manual awning which I felt was fairly secure. Ever since I got my current trailer with the power awning I always wonder about the possibility of the awning coming out while travelling. It would only take two strands of the wire going to the switch to come together to make this happen. Any one ever hear of this happening? Any safeguards that can be taken?refrigerator fan running all the timeI have a 2014 Rockwood ultra lite fifth wheel. Frig is a Dometic DM2652. A standard 6 cu ft frig. My owners manual lists it as coming with an optional fan. Mine obviously has the optional fan. When the outside temp gets to about 70F the fan starts to come on intermittently and when it gets over 75 it is on without stopping. The noise is annoying but I can live with it as long as I know that this is normal. We have owned this trailer for a little over 2 years and the frig has functioned fine. Just wondering if this fan being on constantly with warmer weather is normal. Also wonder what would happen to the performance of the frig if that fan ever quit and if there would then be a danger of overheating and possible fire. Would appreciate input especially from some who work in the rv industry. Thanks in advance.Re: Furnace ProblemThanks. So problem is not thermostat.Furnace ProblemSuburban NT-30SP. Still trying to diagnose my intermittent furnace problem. Want to make sure my thermostat is ok. I get instant fan when I turn the thermostat up. Is this normal? This model furnace does not have a time delay relay on it. Should there be one in the thermostat?Intermittent furnace problemSuburban NT-30SP. Posting this same problem again to see if I can get some more responses. First the problem was that the fan would only work intermittently but when it came on I would get ignition. Now the fan comes on but the ignition is intermittent. Before I take this thing out and bring it to a shop to get serviced I want to make sure it is not the thermostat. When I turn the thermostat up I get immediate fan response. Should there be a delay with this particular model of furnace?aluminum or magnesium anode rodSuburban SW6DE water heater. I am just about to replace the anode rod with a Camco aluminum anode rod. Now I look in my manual and it says not to use a non Suburban part. Also I wonder whether I should have bought a magnesium rod. The aluminum one was on sale and about half the price.Re: Furnace working intermittentlySo tried again today. Outside temperature almost 80. Fan comes on no problem but now it won't ignite. Will try wiggling the wires and if that doesn't work, I'll remove it and take it into a RV shop.Re: Furnace working intermittentlyIn response to the last question During the middle of the first cold night the furnace stopped working while we were asleep. We could not get it to start up again though we played with the on/off switch and the temperature control switch on the thermostat. In the morning we got it working again for a while by sliding the temperature control back and forth. Then after a while it stopped working again. I noticed that if I moved the temperature control switch below room temperature and then slowly moved it to the current room temperature I would hear the slight click at the thermostat and a louder click at the furnace but the fan would not come on. Once I got the furnace fan to come on I would get ignition. So the intermittent problem is that the furnace fan will sometimes not come on. We were hooked up to shore power at the time. It would seem that the colder it was outside, the more prone it was not to work. I am now at home and the outside temperatures are way up again. The furnace now works flawlessly now that we don't need it.Furnace working intermittentlyJust returned from a 2 week holiday. Had a cold snap for the last three nights with temperatures going down to the freezing mark. The furnace quit working during the first of the three cold nights. When I moved the temperature lever higher past the current room temperature I would hear a soft click in the thermostat and a louder click at the furnace but the fan would not come on. Then the next morning it was working again. Could it be that the furnace fan was not getting enough voltage due to a bad ground? Lights and everything else worked. I cleaned a bit of corrosion from the negative battery terminal and connection. Since I did this it seems to work fine although my wife said it quit last night and she had to play with the thermostat to get it going again. Can anyone give me an idea how to solve this problem. Furnace is a Suburban NT-30SPRe: Trailer Tire QuestionThanks to Down the Avenue That chart is just what I needed. I will buy three more Endurance E and inflate to 60 to 65 which is max for my rims and have lots of reserve. According to that chart by Good Year it is ok to inflate below the max depending on load.
