They are way to far past the axle for a heavy trailer.Re: Is this converter safe to install?I did the same thing. All of the tiny light bulbs within the switches blew the first time the switch was used. No other problems. But it is was aggravating. The dealer I bought the charger said it was alright to do. so much for believing camper dealers.Re: Lance 830 rear tent lock adjustmentBe careful in how the tent goes in. My entire main frame has separated from the hinged side. When I close the tent it try's to stay up about 3/8 inch and not close. I would check to make sure the top of the frame is within the hole. If not, there is the gap that is letting in the dirt. I would have tried the same thing that you are thinking of if I had not noticed the gap at the bottom of the frame. And for the life of me I can not figure out how to reattach the flat tent back to the hinge. I suspect that there is nothing but foam in between the front and the back of the tent body. The world can be perfect for you not. Unscrew the rubber bumper. Get some flat washers and a screw 1/2 inch longer then the one you took out, Put the washers under the bumper and retighten screw. Fixed. But check the hinges also.Re: Going off roadNorth Padre is our favorite place to go. We tow the jeep and spike camp along to the to Mansfield Pass. That is the same company that I was dealing with. same results.Insurance for truck campers.I just had a review of my insurance. I have one provider for all of my insurance needs. One home, one rent house, five vehicles. I was informed that my truck camper was only covered for $1000 while sitting under the carport. And while one a truck it was only covered for up to the cost of the truck. Meaning no additional coverage for the $25K of the camper alone. If the campers is damaged but not the truck the camper coverage is the same as the truck. With depreciation. I was supposed to have all this coverage issues handled in 2008 when I bought the camper. It has been on three different trucks. And when I place coverage on the new trucks I get an additional rider for the boxes and bed. But now they say the camper most have it's own policy. To cover it on or off the truck. How do others here handle insurance on a 4500 flatbed and camper?Re: 2014 RAM 2500 fuse problem, and other models? The fuses are very little compared to the earlier models. Is there an open screen on the outside of the A/C?Re: Our custom true flatbed truck camper build threadDo you not have any A/c or just not on the roof? I would think that summer uses would be pretty hot without A/C.
