I have a 2010 F150 with max tow and a 5.5 ft box. My trailer is a Security W26SLQRK with a 10 inch King Pin extension. The hitch is a Curt A16 Slider. When loaded to go, my truck axle weights are just about at max. I have been towing this trailer for a couple of years now through the Canadian Rockies and the windy prairies. I've had a few pull behinds over the past 20 years and this setup is by far the best I've ever had. I have also never used the slider. I also loose water from my trailer. I discovered it was coming out the 2 vents on the top. My tank is between the axles and is only about 4-5 inches deep. The vents are on the passenger side. I usually fill up at home and buy the time I get to the campsite maybe a quarter of the water would have drained out. So I ran 2 lines to a convenient spot with shut of valves. The newer F150's with the HD payload only have 6 studs. My brother has one and tows a 2016 puma 5th wheel. I think its around 27'. His truck has 2450 payload and he has a few hundred pounds to spare on his rear axle when loaded up.
