Well, like u said , Ready - Brute - Elite. i would think its ‘ready’ to tow, because it’s a ‘brute’ plus it’s in a class of it’s own, ‘Elite’ If its not showing wear and you feel no ‘slop’ when you’re muscling it, seems good IMO. I would hope a respected hitch manufacturer would ‘alert’ customers if parts were known to wear. If they were experiencing a high volume of replacement of a part. Think about all the people towing toads that buy used equipment. Do they ask about mileage and what year it was manufactured ? Probably not and all those bars are probably working . Also, if it applies , no rear ladder to access roof , due to rear slide . personally, i dont like bedroom slides where my head sticks out beyond the rv wall. If overnighting in a truck stop and some overtired driver misjudges distance and bangs into that slide, you can kiss your head good-bye. Slideouts have absolutely NO structure to them. Once you check all faucets screens to be sure they are clean , i would drain the system. Then I would blow compressed air through the lines as well as the vent tube next to the gravity water fill port. Have someone open each faucet one at a time to see if air flows out. A dirty pump filter will reduce water flow and allow enough pressure for some faucets while not others. When manufacturers drill holes in fresh water tanks to install fittings they sometimes leave plastic debris inside the tank. Over time , that debris can find its way into a system. There could a clog at an elbow fitting where the compressed air might dislodge it while water pressure did not.1.6KViews0likes0CommentsRe: Awning issue
The awning arms need to install in a vertical spot in order to clear a window or door . If u have a slider window, i would try to have the awning cover the screened portion to limit light rain from entering the rv. Learn how to by- pass or repair such so u don't get stuck with a deployed awning when trying to vacate a campsite. Many elec awnings can be cranked back in using a hand drill and appropriate sized socket in the event of a motor failure. If this seems too involved u can opt for a mechanical pull out awning minus those elec parts. 12v motors that are used in rv’s are usually not the best quality motors. You just need to know how to remedy a situation because it’s a tad difficult to drive with your awning out. :B It’s common sense to retract the awning when you leave the rv for an extended period of time to go hiking or whatever. Storms with strong winds can appear fast with little warning, ripping off of the rv and causing expensive filon damage as well as trashing the awning.515Views0likes0Comments
