No more wood in there now, I used 1" thick dow corning super tuff rigid foam board, put two aluminum channels in the foam they where 2 1/2" wide by 46" long with a 1/2" intrusion into the foam. A sheet of white aluminum for the inside and reused the filon siding for the outside. Glued it all together with 3m 90 industrial adhesive. Less than a $100 in material and 1 1/2 days of work. oh and sealed up the outside channel with dap 230 clear sealant. Door is lighter than factory and if anything more rigid. Looks good and works great Now if any water gets in there it will not rot. Only concern is the struts are a little strong for the door now but I will keep my hand on it when opening. Now to seal the crack in the toilet.Re: Repair Outside Kitchen DoorAnyone have pictures of a rebuild? My door bracket came off and found the wood rotted. I tore the door apart but cant get the fiberglass off the plywood, where it was bad it came right off the good spots not so much and worried I will break the fiberglass trying to peel it off.Re: Keystone Bullet PremierAnyone have a problem with their outdoor kitchen door on the 31bhpr? My hinge is cracking last trip the mount ripped off the door and I found the wood inside rotting, now I have the door torn apart trying to find a hinge then rebuild the door. Also just found a crack in the porcelain toilet. Not a relaxing trip I had planned.Re: Keystone Bullet PremierHi I am looking at the 31bhpr and saw some older models have a water purification system at the sink that came with winter package, anyone have any pictures of the system and would it be worthwhile to add to a new unit? Thanks in advance
