Picked up my new to me tow vehicle last night. Can't wait till camping season to see the difference from my 08 Dodge 1500 to a 2012 Ram 2500. Wrote off my 08 a couple weeks ago on an icy highway. That's one way to upgrade but I don't recommend it.
Picked up my new furniture today that I looked at last weekend at the RV Expo in Edmonton. Got the theater seating recliner combo made by Lippert. It's gonna be a big improvement over the jackknife sofa I'm replacing.
We stayed there a few years ago and really enjoyed it. Pretty quiet and a nice base to go exploring from. The people running it were friendly and helpful.
I've only ever shut off my propane when travelling in BC just before going on the ferry to Vancouver Island. All propane bottles must be closed and tagged before boarding, never heard of a rule regarding use while on the road.
Until an issue shows itself I wouldn't bother with it. Maybe reseal all the edges on the roof, especially in that area and keep an eye on it. Tearing it open could lead to a lot of unnecessary work. That's my 2 cents worth anyways.
