The manufacture rep said there is a load management system like jdmac1 stated. Just set the temp on the thermostat and the load management system turns on which AC needs to be on.Re: Which 5th wheel hitchNot sure how rounded the corners on your front cap is on the Wolfpack but my uncle has a B&W non slider companion that goes into the puck mount on his 2015 mega cab short bed. He tows a 2008 Montana and likes the hitch a lot. Another buddy has the Anderson with his short bed GMC 2500 towing a Voltage. He likes his Anderson a lot. I have the B&W companion that fits in where the gooseneck ball goes on a 2015 Ram dually longbed. I like this hitch a lot. My buddies Anderson is definitely lighter and easier to take out of the bed then my companion, but the companion is easy to take out also by one person if you take the head off the base when removing which is pretty easy. I like the companion better because it looked a lot more heavy duty then the Anderson. It was going to be between the Anderson or companion as I did not want rails in my bed anymore. I've had slider hitches in the past and don't miss having to get someone to help take it out or break out my engine hoist to get it out of the bed.Re: fuel fill question on touhauler gas tankCouldn't fill our Raptor from the pump or by can without spilling out the filler. Fill hose from the factory was pinched almost all the way closed. I went to our local Napa and bought reinforced fuel rated hose. It was pricey but no issues filling the tank anymore.Re: Raptor 2007 299MP Heat and PlumbingOur 2007 Raptor 3712TS does not have a heated underbelly. The line from the water tank to the water pump always freezes when below freezing. We don't even fill the water tank any more in the winter, just bring a bunch a of gallon water jugs with us to flush the toilets and wash our hands. I add rv antifreeze to the holding tanks to prevent the waste tanks from freezing. We had a smell of rat/mouse urine in the trailer a few years ago and pulled the plastic corrugated sheeting down and only had one strip of fiberglass insulation in there on top of the sheeting. The floor was fully insulated covering the ducting. I cut the corrugated sheeting into 4 ft strips this time in case I had to pull it down again for easier access to the basement.Re: Need input from families living full time in toy haulersWe lived full time in our Raptor for 3 years in California while I was on active duty. We selected our model for the kitchen counter space and storage for the wife. The garage we converted to a bedroom for my at the time 3 year old daughter. I bought some foam padding from harbor freight for the garage floor and indoor/outdoor carpet. After a while it felt small inside with my wife, daughter, golden retriever, chihuahua, and two cats. For internet we had a verizon mifi modem with iPads. We also added a pillow top mattress in the bedroom. We couldn't fit our unit in a lot of campgrounds we liked so we ended up buying a truck camper also. We use the raptor for just camping now and the truck camper for places in the mountains we can't get the raptor.Re: New Toyo OpenCountry A/T IIs have a semi-heavy weight sizeI have always had BFG all terrains with no problems. Last time I needed tires I went with nitto dura grapplers for the extra capacity. They only lasted 35k miles and were worn down. The dealer I bought them from would not rotate them anymore (Americas tire). They were rotated every 5k miles by the dealer. The dealer gave me $50 off a tire because they had some dry rot also. They did ride nice and wore evenly but wore down to fast for my liking. I went back to BFG all terrains as the lowest miles I had out of any pairs I had was 50k. The dealer said they had been having dry rot issues with the dura, dune and terra grapplers.Re: Ladder RepairFactoryrvsurplus.com They have ladder parts for sale.Re: Highway 95..........NevadaI see lots of Oregon plates on rv's rolling thru Fallon every spring and fall. Nevadas gas prices on the 95 are not much cheaper then California's on 395 thru Mohave, lone pine, independence, big pine or bishop just to warn you. We make the trip from fallon to Ventura county about five times a year. Once you hit mammoth lakes thru Bridgeport then prices sky rocket on the 395. Are you towing anything? If so the the 95 would be better as your not stuck with the 55 mph towing limit in Cali. I like taking the 95. Lots of cool old mining towns.Re: Problems with bears and cougars....Lots of bears by twin lakes campgrounds near Bridgeport, ca. My wife made apple crisp in her Dutch oven one evening and set it on the picnic bench about 15 feet from our campfire. We had about ten people at the fire when we heard something near the picnic bench. Shined the flashlight over there and a bear was eating her apple crisp. We hear them thru out the night trying to get in the trash dumpsters also.
