We are at Issaquah Village RV Park just 15 mins east of Seattle. Last year, from 500-1000 people were turned away each week because there aren't enough RV parks for the demand. In addition, one park just closed down in October 2015 and will not reopen and another one has sold but not sure when they are closing down. So, please make your reservations now or you may not get a spot and no overnight stays are allowed in parking lots here.Re: Northwest CoastIf you are going to be staying in the area of Seattle, you will have to have reservations. I work at Issaquah Village RV Park a couple of days a week and we turn away from 500 to 1,000 people a week from April to September because there aren't enough parks in the area for the demand. It will be worse in 2016 because one park closed and the property has been sold. Another park just recently sold but we don't know when they are actually going out of business. We are only 15 minutes east of Seattle and a quick drive to Seattle in order to do the touristy stuff. So, please, make your reservations now!Re: Ventura Ca to Seattle Wa?Not sure how big your RV is, but the Kent KOA near Seattle has very few big rig sites and all of them are super close together and it is very hard to maneuver the turns inside the park. In Seattle area, there are not many parks to choose from and all have sites very close together. We stay at Issaquah Village RV Park in Issaquah, WA, just 15 miles east of Seattle. It is the nicest park in the area and is a short distance to Seattle so that you can do the touristy stuff. Some spots are larger than others. Spring through Fall books out pretty far in advance. No matter which park you choose, the parks stay full and you will have to have reservations. Just this year, over 1,000 people were turned away each week from the Issaquah Village RV Park because there aren't enough RV parks in the area to meet the demand. This will be even worse in 2016 because Snoqualmie River RV Park has been sold and will not be reopening. If you know your plans, make reservations now or no later than January for the Seattle area.Re: Power shop Seattle/ Tacoma area on line onlyWe haven't used them yet, we have an appointment on Tuesday, but we are going to go to Cascade Truck and RV Repair out of North Bend, WARe: Seattle Area CampsitesIssaquah Village RV Park. It is located on I-90 at exit 17. We are staying here right now. Takes about 15 minutes to get to Seattle. You will need to make reservations now because that is high season and it gets very full. No charge for pets. Wifi is GREAT and FREE!! Clean bathrooms. No other amenities though.Re: RetirementMy hubs is 3 years away from retiring from the Coast Guard. He will have 30 years of service. We just got transferred to Seattle for his last tour. We decided to live in our RV and let our daughter/son-in-law stay in our house we own in Oklahoma. We plan to full time and travel once he retires so we just thought we would get started now. Will travel the PNW when he can get some leave so we can enjoy the area while we are here.Re: Kitsap area coffee/breakfastHAHA! Thanks!Re: Covered parking during stormHow about a bank drive-thru?Re: Kitsap area coffee/breakfastWe are moving from Oklahoma to Issaquah in June. How far is it to where you guys meet?Re: Seattle WAIssaquah Village RV Park is just off I-90. Never been there but we are in the military and moving there in June. Hubby will be working downtown and we will be living in our 36' DP full time. We chose the Issaquah Village RV Park because of the commute. Lake Bothell looked much nicer but the daily commute was going to be worse. We have 3 cocker spaniels and they said it was no problem.
