I've already had a canoe and 4 kayaks on my roof racks with no problems.Re: Cant find a place to stay near Harrisburg, PA, help! bgum wrote: Gifford Pinchot state park. Has hookups. Rate is about 23. This is true, I've been there. Anderson did replace them with no questions asked other than send them a picture of the broken levelers.Re: Fed up with tire blow outs!!!I've never had a blowout in 15 years. Do you check your air pressure before every trip? You might want to invest in a tire pressure monitoring system.Re: Towing Travel TrailersI tow a 38' Grand Design Reflection travel trailer. Looking at the model you're interested in, make sure you have at least a 3/4 ton truck. Grand Designs tend to be tongue heavy. Get at least a 1200lb or 1400lb Equal-i-zer hitch. The tongue weight on our Reflection is about 1800lbs. Don't let the dealer talk you into anything less.Re: Virginia State Park Campgrounds Reopening On May 22Starting to see more of this from states. While lock downs extend into June they are changing their minds about opening state parks for Memorial Day. A lot of people have already reserved sites at state parks and I bet states don't want to give up all the money they would have to refund. They don't want to lose money but they don't care about all the small businesses that are losing money.Re: Combination weight rating moresmoke wrote: Your truck likely has the 10k GVW package. This is a sticker weight derating meant for those that use the vehicle for business use.10k is the defining line for the definition of commercial vehicle. All F250's have a GVWR of 10k they are not derated. And not every state is commercial over 10k. My F350 is 11.5k, not commercial. An F450 is 14k, not commercial. For that matter, I can have a class 8 Kenworth and register non commercial as long as it's for private use and not used to make money.Re: Hitch set upA hitch with sway control will help stop sway before it starts. The sway control on your truck kicks in after the sway has started to help from losing control of the truck. If your relying on the trucks sway control, you're already in trouble.Re: What to look for when inspecting a used TT for purchaseAs others have said, water leaks. Do yourself a favor and spend $25-$30 for a moisture meter. It can find moisture problems thru the walls, the floor and ceiling that you can't see with your eyes.Re: Boondockers Dream OnIf they come with the blonde in the video, I'd buy one, maybe two.
