Have seen lately these models selling in the 35,000$-50,000$ range.jgRe: 5.9l Cummins Used MotorhomeWe had the 5.9 230 HP with the 6 speed Allison in our 94 Vectra. It was slow on hills and long grades, it was great on level ground,I only drive about 65 max anyway & it did get 12-13 MPG. jgRe: repl AMFM antenna on 2012 TiffinI replaced all 3 antennas on my Journey, had to remove cabinet tops to get to the nuts that anchor them to the roof,I scraped the area clean where the penetration was installed the new ones, sealed it with Dicor. Had to get my wife to hold the base from the inside while I screwed the parts together from the roof,Wasn't too hard a job, got the antennas on Amazon.jgRe: House A/C does not cool well msturtz wrote: Hmm, is your AC one of the two-stage units? Is your rig a 50 AMP rig? It may be that you have one of the basement two stage AC units that on shore power use both to keep the rig at the setpoint temperature. However on generator power, since less power is available will only run one of the AC compressors. This means it would have less power available to run loads. Our 93 Vectra was the other way around, when plugged into pedestal power only one compressor was powered, with the generator running both compressor were powered, the second stage power came directly from the generators 20 amp breaker, I replaced the 30 amp cord and transfer switch with 50 amp and then both stages would run when plugged in.jgRe: Good Sam Tire and Wheel Protection azdryheat wrote: If you get the GS policy you just might get this post in the future - "We apologize for the poor service you experienced. Please send me a private message with your membership and contact information and we'll call you." :B Got that message verbatim from Roadside Guy Administrator about the gripe I had about GS roadside assistance when they made a several hundred $ profit on a tire replacement on the first and only claim I made in 15 years of paying for that service.jgRe: What causes an roof-top A/C to stop for a whileIf he's knowledgeable enough, have him remove the tstat and jump out the control wires if it doesn't shut off then the tstat is bad, if it still shuts off could be a control board or one of the aforementioned problems. jgRe: Noisy/squeaky outside basement air conditioner noiseAlso while you have the unit pulled would be a good idea to clean the evaporator and condenser coils. jgRe: Noisy/squeaky outside basement air conditioner noiseOnce again the vast and unpaid research department comes thru,Awesome job Dave on the pics and thoroughness of the repair.jgRe: ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE GOOD SAM YOU MIGHT NOT BE COVEREDHad GS roadside assistance for probably 15 years, never had reason to call them, until 2016 blew a tire on I-10 just out of Mobile on the Eastern shore of Mobile bay, called GS immediately, was Saturday morning, after 3 hours in the Sams parking lot the road service guy changed 2 tires very quickly, did a good job,I signed his ticket and turns out GS dinged me for $400.00 over what the tire service charged them, 1400.00 plus for 2 off brand 18 wheeler steer tires.Whatcha gonna do? Hope you're watching GS, needless to say I did not renew.jg
