That Size Lance probably Came with a 9k BTU from the factory... I upgraded mine to 13.5K as where I camp can easily see triple Digits.. That why I bought a Champion 2800/3100 Inverter Generator.. I bought a 3100 gas only, champion for two reasons, One the Price from Costco shipped to my house for $700, you don't even have to be a Costco member to buy.. Also I live in LA area and when I need Service, Champion is close buy and I can bring it for service, Wich I needed actually... After 125 hours, the Carb needed to be replaced as there is a electric motor on it that controls the throttle burned out.. I brought it in to champion, no Appointment, and the Service guy stopped working on his jobs, and took the 1 1/2 hours needed to take it all apart and fix it.. WOW what a job to take apart..not easy. He replaced the recoil rope for free, new air filter and gave me an extra spark Plug too.. Total cost was about $130 for the new Carb assembly installed.. I think that Duro's are the best tires coming out of asia, they look to have the blackest rubber color,wich means they have a lot of carbon black, and they have lasted the longest of all trailer tires I have ever tested...And I never had a blowout with them..I highly recommend them..477Views0likes0CommentsRe: 15K BTU A/C and Generators
Just get a Champion 3100 Gas Only model , it weighs 85lbs and has a 30 amp plug... Done deal..It only like $700 online from Costco and you don't need to be a member to buy ...I have run mine in 105 degree Temps for 12 hours straight for a week running the A/c and it never let me down...571Views0likes0CommentsRe: Is anyone towing with an older pickup truck.
I have a 2000 Chevy Silverado 3/4 Ton Long Bed with a 6.0L Engine, Its on 33 inch tires and is geared with 4:56 gears. It has 250,000 miles on the original Engine and Trans, AND Brakes! The only mods are Banks Headers, Hypertech Programmer and Magnaflow exhaust..That being said its in MINT condition, been re-painted, interior is Mint too... I never get passed by any newer truck towing..I pass them all easily... Its all about the Gearing, I can Tow easily in Overdrive.. I will never buy a new truck.. I will keep this one forever, and put whatever money necessary to keep it going... The quality of THis year truck far exceeds the cheap materials that are used today....639Views0likes0Comments
