BillRe: Some TV's get cable, some do not...WHY?!?!?Did you change the settings on the TV from OTA to Cable? Then do a serch for chanels? BillRe: Question for class A and C people with toads!"Unhook the toad and back up. Park the toad in front of the MH." I agree We almost always unhook the toad to go explore the area anyway. Why go to a new area to just sit. The 2 problems with sewer connections I didn't see mentioned are those down in a concrete funnel that is so deep and steep you can't attach the hose to the 90 degree elbow. That and the ones so hi it looks like a cactus. I had one this summer that was almost higher than the outlet on the RV. BillRe: Not for usI reread most of this. The OP is just moving from a nice house with lots of room to a small RV. He and wife are still working and not traveling. I can see why they are not happy with the experience. By the way I am part time, but last year we drove 11,600 miles visited 21 states and stayed in 51 campgrounds. Not bad for part time. BillRe: B.R. AC not blowing cold airHave you checked the thermostat to make shure it is set to the right "mode"? BillRe: 2022 Tiffin Open Road, Ford 7.3L V8. Exhaust system too hot Abrams1 wrote: After 6000 miles on new 2022 Class A with Ford 7.3L V8 happened to notice melted wire loom, scorched and heat damaged electrical conduits and scorched aluminum faced insulation mats under coach in area of exhaust pipe and catalytic converter. Very concerned of course. Dealer and factory say motor diagnostics are normal and that "no other similar issues reported with any other Open Roads they know of nationwide." After almost 8 weeks in the shop dealer and factory do not yet know what to do to fix the problem. Curious if any other Open Road owners or other RVs owners with new 7.3L V8 have seen evidence of scorching or heat damage under the coach especially near the exhaust system. Any info on remedies undertaken would be much appreciated I would report al the damage under your warranty. Get it on record. BillRe: 2022 Tiffin Open Road, Ford 7.3L V8. Exhaust system too hotInteresting, Sounds just like the problems they had with the old 460 V8s. Do a search for 460s running hot/hot exhaust manifolds. Some ran air ducts to let more air in to flow over the engine and exhaust. BillRe: Not for us Alex and Tee wrote: To answer a few questions, we had originally thought we would try workcamping and travel around but seeing that most jobs wanted someone to do some kind of maintenance work, landscaping or cleaning rental cabins and bathrooms that isn’t something we wanted to do. Yes, I’m sure there are jobs like at the resort we are in that are office jobs, security or ranger jobs but I’m sure those will go to the park residents or experienced people first. I had an opportunity to start a machinery distributorship with a partner and with that being what I did for most of my career that made the most sense and will bring in the most money. No, I don’t prefer mowing lawns to dumping tanks. That is why we will likely wind up renting a townhouse or condo and leave all that to someone else. I leave my black tank closed until it gets to 2/3 full or more. I don’t want any build up to occur which would cause more problems down the road so I dump every 4 days and wash it out once a week. Seriously you didn't do a search on "work camping" To find out what it involved??? I think you should sell the RV now as the market is up Call and talk to NIRVC they are looking for newer coaches. 770-979-4051. BillRe: Route from Ft Worth to Estes Park Mtray927 wrote: Great info. Thank you Will follow your advise Mtray927, Well I have to ask what the rush is to get to Estes Park? There are several places to explore on the way. You were talking about a 3 month trip after you get there. I live in FW to and drove up that way last year at least 3 times.. My first stop was the Oasis in Amarillo,2715 Arnot Rd, Amarillo, TX 79124.https://www.myrvoasis.com/ I generally make Enchanted Trails RV Park & Trading Post my next stop in Albuquerque. 14305 Central Ave NW, Albuquerque, New Mexico 87121 . Can't help it I have some restaurants I like in the area. http://www.enchantedtrails.com/. My next stop if going North is Santa Fe Skies RV Park, 14 Browncastle Ranch, Santa Fe, NM 87508. http://www.santafeskiesrvpark.com/. Same thing lots to do and see and good food. Next stop up I-25 is Raton Pass Camp & Café Not hard to find it is at the top of the pass, check their website for directions. http://www.ratonpasscamp.com/ I stayed in the Loveland area last time at Riverview RV Park, 2444 River Rim Rd, Loveland, CO 80537. River Rim Rd is actually hiway 34 that takes you to Estes Park and through RMNP. When we left Riverview RV Resort we went north to a rally in Gillette, WY then came back down on the western side of the hills to Granby, CO. 1051 Summit Trail, Granby, CO 80446. It is on the outher end of Hiway 34. I would recommend pre driving 34 with your toad first. It is a spectacular drive and interesting. Any questions just ask. Have you joined any of the local clubs? BillRe: Unique eateriesMike, just up US-1 from the Rudder's actually it is called Muddy Rudder. https://muddy-rudder.com/ Is the Freeport Cafe at the Best Western. amazing breakfast and lunch. https://thefreeportcafe.com/ Was there last summer and probably be back this summer.
