Give us another 2 weeks and we will be on the road agin .. Re: 5th. Wheel StablizationWe were using stabilizers for about 5 years when we added the Big Foot Leveling System. We thought we would be able to eliminate our stabilizers but once the BF's were down, we knew we had to keep our stabilizers. 7 years later, we knew we'd made the right decision. Leveling systems do offer some amount of stability but for taking care of front to back and side to side movement, stabilizers are the way to go. Hugs, DiHAPPY LABOR DAY!!!It's so wonderful to be back on the road and we've been doing a LOT of sightseeing! We're spending our weekend at the Royal River Casino/RV in Flandreau, SD. Nice and quite & relaxing. So where will you this holiday weekend find you all? Happy Labor Day--Hugs, Di Re: Happy Memorial Day While all of us have lost loved ones in Vietnam {the boy I was to marry was in Vietnam} maybe this will help clarify my incorrect to you, use of the word "Happy" & take the a bit of the hurt out of your loss. Memorial Day is an American holiday, observed on the last Monday of May, honoring the men and women who died while serving in the U.S. military. Originally known as Decoration Day, it originated in the years following the Civil War and became an official federal holiday in 1971. Many Americans observe Memorial Day by visiting cemeteries or memorials, holding family gatherings and participating in parades. Unofficially, it marks the beginning of the summer season. So to me while I don't know anyone who would not bow a head or say a prayer for those lost, I will proudly wear my red white & blue and choose to participate in parades and gatherings and NO disrespect is or never was intended. Hugs, Di Re: 5th wheel rocking motionWe've had our stabilizers on for about 9 years and they really helped. We added the BF in 2010 and thought we might be able to do away with stabilizers but it didn't take long to realize that the BF will offer a bit of stability, it's job is to level. So with the ease of the BF and stabilizers we are perfect. Being fulltimers for 20+ years means we're in our rig 24/7 so no movement is a "biggie" to us. Hugs, Di Happy Memorial DayDutch & I want to wish all forum Members a safe & Happy Memorial Day !!! We finally left hot {106 degree} Arizona :M& are settled in at Menifee, CA at a balmy 78 degrees :B Dutch is recovering from his ankle replacement and after my surgery on June 5th we hope to get back on the road and just head out!!! Where will this holiday find y'all??? Hugs, DiRe: updateThank you Joe for the info. Being full timers, we do have the luxury of traveling where ever we want. Growing up in the suburbs of Philly, we do know our way around. I'm going to have a long talk with this 2nd doctor who moved the pacemaker but failed to realize the lines were in the way before I make a final decision. Thank you again. He should have the stitches removed next week and hopefully start PT. His main health issue that they have been working on since October still hasn't been diagnosed but we're still trying. They say, ankle wise, we should be able to leave AZ in about 4 weeks. Unfortunately, we won't be traveling far as I have to get back to S. Ca to have a 2nd heart Ablation as the 1st one didn't take and while they did re-pocket the pacemaker that was causing all my pain, they didn't see that they also had to move all the wires deeper inside as they are causing as much pain as the pacemaker. Not sure I have too much faith left in any doctors for me right now :(but I'll prevail. Our goal is to be able to get back on the road by end of May/beginning of June. Hugs, Di If you ever get back on the East Coast, try and look up Dr, Danial Frisch ..EP at Jefferson Heart . .he did both my ablation s, and my Pacemaker... the man has a gift ! Good Luck to you both....Happt Easter Joe Re: updateCasa Grande Me Again wrote: Where are you located in Arizona? Chris Re: Tire Pressure Not TowingWe reduce the air in our rear dually tires if we're going to be in an area for a month or longer and it does give us a softer ride. If it's just a day or a week, we don't bother. It works for us. Hugs, Di Jhurk wrote: I have a 2014 Dodge Ram 3500 20" tires. When towing I run 80psi in rear tires and 65 in front as per tire specs. Now when Not Towing I want to reduce rear psi to 65-70psi to,reduce bumpy ride. Any thoughts, any buddy doing this? Re: scissor jacksWe had stabilizers on our Carriage for years then added the Big Foot Leveling System in 2010. We set up without tightening our stabilizers and while the levelers did help, it was not enough for me so we tightened our stabilizers and we were back to being nice and solid again. For us, using both was the way to go, Hugs, Di
