Do you REALLY believe this? You don't think that a year 2020 engine is more efficient than a 1985 engine? Spend five minutes researching vehicle mileage ratings through the years before spewing out your baseless claims. Show me ONE auto manufacturer that has not improved the efficiency of its engines in the last few decades. I'm guessing your real problem is that they didn't use Smoky's hot vapor engine or the Coates rotary valve engine to do it.Re: Dish Network/Carryout G2+ Lwiddis wrote: Wouldn’t Dish be the best source? No. The best sources are those who have actually used the equipment. Those who are trying to sell you something will tell you anything to get you to buy. Thanks for the info Bill.Dish Network/Carryout G2+We have a Winegard Carryout G2+ dome antenna, recently dumped DirecTV after 20 years. Instructions say Dish Hopper/Joey system will not work with G2+. What Dish equipment can I use with this dome? Would really like to have DVR capability. Have done a little research and it looks like the choices are pretty slim.Re: Just repllaced TV tiresFunny, I have had three sets of TransForce over the years and never experienced a lack of traction. :hRe: A Question Are you limited to life on pavement fj12ryder wrote: Being a bit judgemental today aren't you? Why should the way you want to do things be the best way? When did "Do it my way, or you're wrong" become the mantra for so many people? Pretty much describes most of what I see in here.Re: IOTA Circuit breaker Box dougrainer wrote: I asked about 50 or 30 amp service because you CANNOT add excess amp draw to a 30 amp box. 30 amp RV boxes are designed for the 30 amp load in the RV and are designed to split the loads to total 30 amp. If you are trying to run an extra 20 amp circuit and appliance you will overload and trip the Main 30 amp breaker in the Breaker box or the CG pedestal pole breaker. Not really dangerous as the breakers will do their job but just an annoyance. Doug 30A boxes are already overloaded. Try running a/c, water heater, refrigerator, lights and one good plug load at the same time. A bigger issue to note about adding circuits is the NEC only allows five branch circuits from a 30A panel. This note only applies if you actually care what the NEC says.Re: Is this normal for a 30 amp breaker Chris Bryant wrote: Is it a single or dual breaker? They often use a 30/20 for main/air conditioner, which more than doubles the current carried. Give this man a cigar! This breaker combo is all too common and puts most of the heat into one breaker package. When running a/c in 90+ temps that breaker pair will get pretty warm no matter how good the connections.Re: Electric brakes self adjusting?Best answer I can give is 'maybe'. You'll just have to consult your manual or pull a drum and look. Pretty sure most are manually adjusted, mine are.Re: 5th wheels....heck of a following ACZL wrote: Anyone notice how there seems to be a lot more posts under the 5th wheel section of RV compared to the other types? Just seems to me more questions/topics about them. Plus, from my blind eye observation, appear to be gaining in popularity. Most will fall into one of the following categories: - "Can my XXXXX truck pull a YYYY fifth wheel?" - "Are there any 1/2 ton towable 5th wheels?" (YES) - "Do I need a 350/3500 or will my 250/2500 truck work?" I'm sure there are others like these which have been beaten to death.Re: DTV nightmare.. Timmac around?Phone/Internet service providers are NO better when it comes to customer service. Three years in a row, my wife called Frontier communications to do nothing but renew our service. ALL THREE times the phone service was disconnected. This year it was out for over 2 days, not counting the period of time they rerouted the phone number for a local car wash to our home. Think about that- she was calling to CONTINUE giving them our business and service got cut off THREE STRAIGHT TIMES. What say you, timmac (et al)?
