The install was easy enough and our water heater is now working on both electric and propane. Thanks to all for the help.Re: Atwood Water Heater gas comes on-only electric switch is onpost deletedRe: Atwood Water Heater gas comes on-only electric switch is on Old-Biscuit wrote: Continuity testing...... Orange wire (gas operation) and White wire (electric operation) are in the water heater outside compartment. Wires go to backside of WH Tank where RV MFG connects wires that come from INSIDE the RV where ever the on/off switches are installed LONG test wires required. I will get it in a few days.Re: Atwood Water Heater gas comes on-only electric switch is on STBRetired wrote: Before you install the board, you might want to make sure that the white and orange wires are not shorted together somewhere between the switches and the control board. Just put a meter on them and make sure there's no continuity?Re: Atwood Water Heater gas comes on-only electric switch is on Old-Biscuit wrote: The Dinosaur Electronics UIB 64 Ignitor Board DOES come complete...mounting & cover UIB 64 Info Thanks again! Dinosaur Electronics make a quality board. But you will also need not just their board but the mounting plate and protective cover cause it is an exposed circuit board and is in the outside compartment/environment Do the mounting plate and cover have to be ordered separately or do they come with the board? Thanks.Re: Atwood Water Heater gas comes on-only electric switch is on deltabravo wrote: nazpaz wrote: Thanks for the info. Looks like I need to order a new circuit board! Check out a company called Dinosaur Electronics. They make really good replacement circuit boards for a lot of different RV appliances. https://www.dinosaurelectronics.com/ They are way better than the original circuit boards from what I've heard / read. Thanks for that suggestion. I saw elsewhere on this forum where Old Biscuit also recommended the Dinosaur. Sounds like a good suggestion.Re: Atwood Water Heater gas comes on-only electric switch is onThanks for the info. Looks like I need to order a new circuit board! Got a lot of the white flakes out of it. I put the plug back in, turned the water on, and then flipped the 110v water heater switch. However, when I did that, the gas came on and heated it up. The gas side was turned off. If I turn 110v off and turn the gas side on, the gas lights and it heats. If I turn the gas side off and turn only the electric on, the gas lights and it heats. It was all working fine until today. Any thoughts would be welcome.Re: Galveston area things to do dodge guy wrote: Thanks. We are taken the ferry over.
