Works great. I think the toughest test for this set up for us was a trip on CA 20 from Willits to Ft Bragg, if you have ever been on that road, you know it has its share of ups and down hills and twisty curves. For lights for my jeep I went with the "Hopkins" towing light wiring kit for towed vehicles. Works perfect no problems whats so ever. Its been working perfectly for the paast 3 years. 2006 f 350, 2002 Lance 1130, flat towing TJ There's not a straight line on that road.Re: Towing a Jeep CherokeeThat's called the "curb weight" - it's how much the vehicle weighs. The Jeep Cherokee has a curb weight of around 4250 lbs. The Grand Cherokee weights much more. Which transmission your Cherokee has is important. Not all Cherokees are suitable for flat tow.Re: heat and Li batteries. Bedlam wrote: Many phones reduce charge/discharge rates beyond 95 degrees Fahrenheit due to their battery chemistry. Lithium ION as previously pointed out. True. But how many truck campers have Lithium ION batteries? The north rim, while cooler will take you out of the way and the north doesn't come close to the south rim spectacular view. And insulate the exterior battery compartment door. If possible, leave interior cabinet door(s) open so that cabin air can circulate into basement area. You may not need a battery warmer unless you plan to camp in extreme low temperatures and charge battery in those conditions.Re: Kitchen stove fan "flap".The plastic hinge pin is what broke on mine. I fixed it by purchasing a 1/8-inch diameter carbon fiber rod from a hobby store. I epoxied the rod to the length of the flapper edge in such a way that it replaced the hinge pin. The flapper never came off after that.Re: Help - jacks are draining my batteries Grit dog wrote: . But it feels like we’re over your head, OP, and you’ve checked out. It's more likely that he/she turned off DC power to the fridge which fixed the problem. (And that's assuming that the batteries weren't damaged from being drained.)
