One thing I notice is that most of the wet bath pictures I find on Google are from RVs for sale (presumably), and so they’re all pretty “blank” with not much for storage or use besides the shower, sink, toilet, and maybe a shelf built in but otherwise blank walls. How many of you, among those with wet baths, attach extra shelves/caddies, hanging hooks, etc. for more storage of all the bottles and soaps and other items you usually keep in the shower? How much accessorizing like that does the typical wet bath have or allow? Re: How common are fold-up vs "standard" sinks in wet baths? austinjenna wrote: From my experience the fold up sink is typically in a class B or truck camper because the majority of those rv's have wet baths, Generally a class C as you mentioned has a dry bath and would have a fixed sink. That’s true, I have noticed most Class Cs tend to have a dry bath, although there are some that still have wet baths right? I know I’ve seen a few. In an RV with the general size/style of a Class C—for those that do have a wet bath—would they still be more likely to usually have a sink fixed to the wall or other surface even if it’s in a wet bath?Re: How common are fold-up vs "standard" sinks in wet baths? fj12ryder wrote: I think a foldup sink would be most common in the low-wall popup campers. TBH I've not seen one in years. I’m not super versed in the common differences between them, but what about motorhomes rather than towed campers? Do the self-propelled “vehicle” RVs (motorhomes and the like, not sure if there’s other terms for them) not usually have fold-ups for bathroom sinks compared to smaller, towed camper spaces? How common are fold-up vs "standard" sinks in wet baths?Exactly what the title asks: in RVs, what type of sink is more typical or common, or which would I be more likely to find: fold-up sinks, or "standard" sinks with the basin fully built into/attached to the wall or some other surface? I'm particularly thinking of wet baths here, especially since I assume those are probably more variable in sink styles and amenities compared to the "normal" setup in dry baths. (As for RV size/type, if that's an important factor in answering, probably consider a Class C on the larger side.) And even just in general, how common actually ARE fold-up sinks (I feel like, relatively speaking, I don't really see or hear about them all that much, even in wet baths)? Are they considered particularly typical for RVs/wet baths at all or are they more of a "special case" sort of feature?Re: “Separate” sink in a wet bath? magicbus wrote: coolusername wrote: magicbus wrote: I have a separate wall-mounted single lever control for my shower, which I think is what you are asking. Dave Yes this is what I was thinking. So you've got a separate wall-mounted control for the shower, as well as a separate sink with its own faucet and controls? Exactly. Dave I see! Do you know if by any chance you could supply a picture of that interior (or if you can post an image of another wet bath setup of the same model/structure, if you’d rather not post your own)? I’d like to be able to visually see it but I’m struggling to find anything that looks like what I’m imagining when I search through images online.Re: “Separate” sink in a wet bath? JimK-NY wrote: Design of bathroom sinks can vary. With larger RVs the sink is likely to be built in and look similar to a household unit. The split between the shower and sink could be behind the wall as in a home bath. In some units there will be a single faucet with a diverter to direct water to the shower or to the sink. And this applies to wet baths too, not just dry? I just ask because I'm not sure if I've ever seen a wet bath with a "household-style"/"home bath-style" sink like that, although I haven't gotten the chance to check many.Re: “Separate” sink in a wet bath? magicbus wrote: I have a separate wall-mounted single lever control for my shower, which I think is what you are asking. I’ve seen some fold-out sinks with faucets within that function as separate sinks unconnected to the shower like that…but I don’t know if I’ve ever seen one like that that DOESN’T fold. Do these exist in wet baths? Are they as uncommon as they seem? I’ve seen buyable “shower enclosures” presumably for installing into houses which are designed like that, at least by the look of their layout; are there RV wet baths built the same way (for example with the shower head, pump, and faucet handles on one wall, and a separate sink with its own pump/faucet on another wall rather than being the source of the shower head)
