The camper was only about 6 months old and the deadbolt would not open. I found out from a locksmith friend of mine about a universal trailer door key that fits all travel trailers and campers. A flat blade screwdriver and vice grips the lock is bad and will need replaced and they are made so cheap that all you need to do is insert the flat blade screwdriver into slot and turn with the vice grips. After being locked out once I always have a universal camper key with me.Re: Can't reproduce water leakI had a similar mysterious leak, I would have a wet floor at the foot of the bed and I would check after a rain nothing but a few days later the towel I placed on the floor would be soaked. I checked everything from AC vents to calking on windows and doors and still found nothing. Then I was watching a TV show about homes in Alaska that are air tight need a vent to outside so you can keep condensation from forming well I opened one of the vents whenever the camper sits and I have not had a wet floor since. I guess my camper was too air tight. I still find it hard to believe that was it but for the last two years I have had no wet floor. I still don't know why it would only get wet at the foot of the bed.Re: Media players? The first thing you need to do is convert all your dvd’s to digital mp4 or other video format, for that you need a DVD copy program that will copy any DVD, then you need a portable hard drive to store your movies on then you need a media player that converts your digital movies to play on your TV. I have over 400 movies and TV shows stored on a hard drive that we take with us when we go camping.Re: I can open your outside lockI replaced my two storage compartment doors lock with these and they work great. Combination Compartment LocksRe: Questions about replacing locksI replaced my two storage compartment doors lock with these and they work great. Combination Compartment LocksRe: Use WD hitch or not?I have used a WD hitch since 95 on any trip over 100 miles and odds are I will always use one even when I don’t need to like now with my present setup. I just like the extra security of using one connected. What it comes down to more than anything in your case is your personal preference.Re: Setting up IP Camera - need DNS - ideas?I have a 8 camera Zmodo system with dvr they have their own DNS service and I have been using it for over a year with no problem and no charge.Re: time to shop for new insurance?I just switched to Auto Owners. They have Auto, Home, and RV. I was with my other company for almost 15 years and I still saved 500.00 per year.Re: Mount Rushmore & Badlands area rv parkIn the Badlands area I always stay in Wall at Sleepy Hollow which is about 3 miles from the Badlands. To See Mount Rushmore and Crazy Horse I stay in Hill City at Rafter J Bar and I stay in Custer State Park Game lodge Campground. You might also look at staying in the Badlands at the Park Camp Ground and at Wind Cave Camp Ground I like them all the only problem is Wind Cave has no dump station.
