The previous owners did a good job of winterizing everything so its in good shape. The problem is that some of the water lines have a pink tint to them after we flushed the antifreeze out. Does anyone think this will be a problem? Would letting bleach set in the lines clean them? We usually take bottled water to drink but I don't want antifreeze to get in the water heater when we use it. Thanks for the help.Re: Seeking Clever ways to carry sewer hoseIf you have a ladder could you mount something to it?Re: Is there different hitch rail pins available?Maybe you could use a piece of all thread or rebar cut long enough to go from one rail to the other. It would need holes drilled for new pins. I don't know what kind of forces are on the pins. I think your rails would have to be lined up almost perfect to use long pins.Re: Need New FloorI put down floating laminate flooring in the kitchen area to replace the vinyl flooring. It was some cheap stuff I had left over from a house. I had to end up brad nailing each piece cause they seemed to separate from one another due to the flexing of the floor.Re: Better to lower hitch or raise pin box?On my setup (with a extended pin box and short bed) if I was to raise the pin box that would shorten the distance from the front of the camper to the truck cab. That would increase the risk of hitting the truck in a tight turn.Re: Short Box + 5'VR = Disaster????You will want to watch your tool box if you leave it in your truck.Re: why do people huddle? We stayed in a camp ground that didn't have any marked sites you just parked where ever you wanted. We went to bed one night and when we went outside the next morning some people had setup a tent under our awning. People there drive around all night long so I didnt think anything about when I heard a car.Re: "Neighbor" post question... Insurance and exerciseAs far as the generator goes it might have a low oil switch that won't let it run if it's not getting enough oil.Re: What are your fall camping plans? We have our annual fall trip to treasure lake in branson planned.Re: Tv antennaI use a batwing but leave it down cause my handle to raise it is broke. I just push the button to turn on the booster and it seems to work great. Had 9 channels this past weekend in a very wooded campground thats 50+ miles from the tv stations. But we usually only watch the news or my son likes to watch cartoons while we cook breakfast.
