Inexpensive and you can plug your fridge into it for a day or whatever duration you choose. It will give you actual power consumed. Go from there rather than guessing.Re: Gray water joint leakThanks to all who have offered great advice. I think I finally got it with an epoxy product called SEAL-N-PLACE By Versachem. Holding fine. Will see if it colds up on the road vibrations. Regards, BillGray water joint leakI have two gray tanks, so dump lines from each to the main dump. One of the lines leaks at the joint where it enters the main dump. Just a drip but not nice to have a puddle there. I have tried the Flex seal rubber and it still drips. Spent a bunch of time removing that and applying JB Weld water weld. Drips worse. The pipes are black and I assume they are ABS. If ABS, can the joint be disassembled and resealed? Or is it permanent like PVC? Will the whole dump assemble need to be replaced? Thanks in advance. BillRe: battery to inverter wiring 3 tons wrote: Cabling is your bottleneck, a very common problem that causes grief for the poor 2000w inverter…Early on, I learned this the hard way, but now likely a bit overkill at 0004, 3’ with silver soldered and crimped copper lugs, but no more inverter alarms!! 3 tons Got it. Thanks all.Re: battery to inverter wiringThanks for your replies. Yes, I regularly check the cells with a hydrometer and all are good. The voltage at the inverter drops to 11.8 which is where it will drop off line. I built the wiring 20 years ago without a large inverter in mind. The price of flexible welding cable has jumped a bunch. Just was quoted $6.89 a foot for 0/2 flexible! I will ponder the options and do whatever makes sense. Thanks again.battery to inverter wiringI have a 2000 watt inverter charger running off 4 GCU 6 volt, fully charged golf cart batteries. High load appliances like the microwave quickly cause a low voltage overload. I have 2/0 cables from the inverter to the first pair of batteries and they are less than 3 feet in length. They are wired to the nearest pair. The batteries are connected with #2 awg cables. Given the price of flexible copper welding cable I am reluctant to build new cables for the batteries unless I know it is going to make a big difference. If we really need the microwave, I can fire up the Honda but I would like to be getting the 2000 watts off the inverter. (I am also toying with getting an inverter microwave to run at lower power as an alternative.)Re: Walmart has new auto battery maker Roger10378 wrote: So you now have a 750CCA battery paired with a 850CCA battery? Sure sounds like a problem to me. Maybe you can get away with it in AZ. but I sure wouldn't want to try it anyplace that gets cold. Yeah. I considered that but I will able to monitor them on local driving until summer, when I will replace both. about 70 degrees today. The 750 was free and available today. The old one had a dead cell. And the remaining 850 is probably about a 750 by now. We'll see. And FWIW, the new battery was made in S. Korea, while the one year old one says it was distributed by Clarios and I don't see country of origin. That all indicates a new manufacturer vs a name change. But I just posted what I was told by Walmart manager in automotive.Re: Walmart has new auto battery maker mobeewan wrote: As Retired JSO indicated, same company, new name. Maybe but the case is completely different and is sealed vs capped.Walmart has new auto battery makerI have used their Maxx batteries for the good warranty and adequate quality for years. Just went in to replace one of my truck batteries under warranty (GP 65, 850 CCA) and they gave me a 750 replacement. Told me they had dropped Johnson Controls and 850 would no longer be available. I had never heard of the new company, which doesn't mean they are not good. Just FWIW.Re: Vancouver IslandI have long wanted to spend a month or so over there. We have visited the Olympic peninsula often, but the ferry cost over and back from Port Angeles just didn't make sense for our 45 feet of truck and trailer. We are both 86 and spent last summer in Colorado, Oregon coast and a month on Whidbey island. We and our rig will probably do one more shorter Colorado trip in 2022 and then reluctantly acknowledge our limitations. Enjoy it while you can. Bill
