They keep making more and more cruise ships and they have to dock some place. First time we visited Cozumel via RV, there were only a very few cruise ships a week there. Later we cruised there twice and there four ships a day. A tremendous economic impact for the area. If you have some time, stop at Rancho Sordo Mudo RV Park between Ensenada and Tecate (page 448 of Churches, "Mexican Camping") Visit the school, the children and the wonderful staff. We traveled some in Peru, Argentina, Chile and a little in Brazil and Uruguay including a two week cruise from BA to Valparaiso. Saw several RVs and a a few RV parks. Saw a lot of ads for RVs for sale or rent. Took a bus from Puerto Iguazu to BA. For the most part the highways were good. The Lakes District of Chile (Puerto Montt)was beautiful and made for RVing. However, the drivers in Lima are absolutely mad. Taxi rides were like you had gotten into a NASCAR race, but with both left and right hand turns. Had my teeth checked and cleaned in Algadones in Jan. The dentist recommended that I have five teeth with old large metal fillings replaced with crowns for a total of $750. I didn't have the time to get them done then. Two days ago I broke one of those teeth and today in Odgen UT I paid the dentist $866.00 for one crown! The dentist gave me a discount for paying cash. Over the years I and my wife have had a lot of dental work done in Mexico and all of it has been good and inexpensive.388Views0likes0Comments
