When are coming to visit me in the park?Re: BINOCULARS jimh425 wrote: I’ve had two pairs of Nikon Monarch 7 for several years, one was 10x42 and one was 10x30. They are both much better than what most people typically carry based on my experiences at Yellowstone. The 42s are better in low light conditions. They are in the $300-400 range if you get a good price. These are the ones (Nikon Monarch 10X42) I have and use in my professional work as a National Park Ranger and personally in my outdoor activities. They are great to use and bomb proof. bRe: Building my own batterty cables theoldwizard1 wrote: Those TEMco crimper make very nice crimps, but the cheap hammer/anvil crimp tools are not bad. Yep, I did the same thing too for my 1860 watt solar system for my truck camper almost a decade ago. Still running strong, too! When at the race track and we didn't have a crimper, a fall back was using the expansion joint of a sidewalk/curb with a punch and 2 lb sledge. We also used parachute cord for determining the length of the cable by running the cord the route of the cable. Also, used painters tape to draw a line on the tape attached to the cable and lug to ensure the lug to match the orientation for the mounting of the lug to the eventual terminal. John will certainly put some of these suggestions to work in his new camper. bHow do you store bikes inside your Truck Camper?Well, we are adding another truck camper to our group and we are looking for recommendations for carrying bikes inside of a Hallmark Guanella TC. We prefer to carry them inside to protect them from road debris. Any help or pictures of what you have done would be appreciated. Yes, I did a search and came up blank. b
