They are willing to help me with this if I bring my rig down to them. Their engineers want to see the harmonics issues between the Curt and their pin box. Looks like I will be taking a ride to Elkhart. I will keep you all updated.Re: Hitch Pin HelpUpdate, Put shocks on and helped some, but still a lot of chucking. I purchased a Morryde Pin box and put it on this last weekend. Oh my, it made it worst. Need some suggestions on real world combinations. Has anyone used a Curt Hitch with a Morryde Pin box? I'm thinking since I can't return it, seeing if a stiffer box spring would calm it back down. I have a call into Morryde on this.Re: Liberty Rider and Joy Rider SuspensionDoes anyone know or have seen a before and after video with a Morryde IS suspension? That may help me with my decision.Re: Liberty Rider and Joy Rider SuspensionI found a comparison of before and after done by Henderson RV. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mCW3ncx8ToE Also received a installed price of 1/2 the price of the Morryde installed. Either way I go will be an improvement over a stock suspension. I may just put the Joyrider shocks on this year and then the Liberty Rider next year. That is the nice thing about this system is that you can put one on then the other as funds come available. All input is appreciated.Liberty Rider and Joy Rider SuspensionLooking at upgrading my 5th wheel suspension. I know about the Morryde IS is the best thing since sliced bread, but now I think there may be another player in the field. The Liberty Rider is not a full IS suspension but has proven theory that Semi's have been running for years. So my question is, has anyone installed the Liberty rider suspension with the joy rider shocks? There is a very interesting You Tube video on this suspension. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n2-GReqUY-Q&feature=youtu.beRe: Hitch Pin HelpHas anyone tried the Liberty Joy Rider suspension upgrade? It is a step up from the plain Joy Rider shock kit and clams to calm down the suspension almost like the Morryde IS. I know it's not a IS, but a lot cheaper.Re: Hitch Pin HelpUpdate, I loaded the trailer and made sure I was level. I still have chucking not as bad but enough that the wife does not like it. I don't have the money to spend for a Trailer Saver right now, so I'm looking at changing the Pin box and maybe shocks for the trailer. Has anyone used a Flex Trail Air pin box or a Morryde with a Curt Hitch?Re: Sailun tiresOrdered mine from here. They have them in stock. www.trailertiresandwheels.comRe: Hitch Pin HelpDoing my research on the different type of Hitch pins, I contacted Curt about their product. They stated not to get any of these as it counter acts the hitch head mechanics. Has anyone who is using a Curt Q product ever heard this before? Also, if you are using a Curt hitch what type of hitch pin are you using? I'm just doing all my research, in case the loading of the trailer and leveling does not not help. Thanks for the replies.Re: Hitch Pin HelpThanks all for your input. 5th Wheels are new to me as I'm used to a TT and know very well about tongue weight. Never thought pin weight would cause the chucking but makes sense now that you have brought it to my attention. So I will load the trailer and see what I get with that. Also, I do plan on putting on either Joy Rider shocks or another brand once the 1 year frame warranty is up. I did this on my TT and it did make a huge difference. As for level, it is pretty close and still giving me about 5 1/2 - 6 inches of clearance. I will report back in a couple of weeks when I have taken it on it's maiden voyage. If anyone has put on the morryde or Trail Air I would still like to hear from you just in case the above doesn't help. Thanks again for all you input.
