Its 16' wide x 25' long. Why not get a ''metal carport'' and be done with it ?... And it will last a lifetime!... Plus, it will most likely be much cheaper in price than building one! You can see mine in this thread: Travel trailer covering when parked at homeRe: Is it wise to invest in a cover for my TT?Double post.Re: Is it wise to invest in a cover for my TT?Read through this. The door on my truck camper started sagging and the bottom was coming apart... Found some rot on the bottom wood... The factory didn't put enough wood for the frame in the door... I know they wanted to cut down on weight. But, my new door has a lot of wood in it! I looked online and seen some for $1000 dollars... No way would I buy one that cost that much, so I built my own! Here's a thread if you want to build your own!:B Built A New Entry Door For My Truck Camper! The door was easy to build and I only have a little over $60 dollars in it, and it will outlast the camper!Re: F150 and a Camplite 6.8Go back and read the ''links'' I posted.... You guys are confusing the OP!... His F-150 will haul the 6.8 Camplite Truck Camper just fine! twodownzero wrote: Nope, but you do need an appropriately sized truck and the TC manufacturers are all liars. BUT, Lance didn't say it was ''DESIGNED'' for any 1/2 Ton Trucks like the Livin-Lite Website says.... You said Lance says it will work... ''Will work'' and ''designed'' is different! twodownzero wrote: What you should conclude from this is that if the camper manufacturer says that a camper will work on a 1/2 ton, what they really mean is that if your 3/4 ton is a 2wd, regular cab, you're okay, and otherwise, you need a 1 ton truck to carry it. The manufacturer said the 6.8 Camplite Truck Camper ''is designed'' for ''any 1/2 ton.''.... It don't say it will/might work, it said it was ''DESIGNED'' for 1/2 Ton Trucks! The 6.8 Camplite Truck Camper ''IS DESIGNED'' for ''ANY'' 1/2 ton, Those trucks would be the ''Ford F-150''. THE LIGHTEST FULLY SELF CONTAINED SHORT BED TRUCK CAMPER ''MADE FOR A 1/2 TON''! If you need to, you can install airbags so you can pull trailers, boats etc.. etc.. When I first started hauling my ''hard-side Sunlite TC'', I didn't have airbags... Only reason I installed airbags, was because I went with a larger boat... My Sunlite weighs A LOT more than that 6.8 Camplite, and I haul mine with 2002 F-150 and pull a pontoon. Call them and talk to them on the phone, and please don't listen to some members on here... They don't know what ''designed means''.Re: Movin' on up to a new Dually! twodownzero wrote: CaveRun wrote: Nice truck!.. Even if it is a Dodge! :)... I'm a Ford guy, but my second choice for trucks would be a Dodge. Except it's not a Dodge. It's a Ram. "Dodge" no longer makes trucks and hasn't for a while. You will not see the word "Dodge" anywhere on a Ram truck today. Ha Ha Ha!Re: upgrading tiresI bought these tires for my TT back in June... They're great tires and I have the same brand on my pontoon trailer... I also have the Load-Stars on my equipment trailer.
