If you pull the panel out is there 12v on one side of the water pump switch? If so does the 12v jump to the other side when you turn the switch on? Are you able to get a picture of the back of the panel? yes i removed the panel and ill take a photo as soon as i get home , thanks for your reply. i do have a multimeter but i need to get a better understanding of what i need to do , once i share the photo hopefully that will help you guide me , thank youNeed some help troublshooting this issueHope all is well everyone , long time. in the span of a week , i had 3 seperate issues requiring repar in my truck camper , two are minor and easily fixable , but im having trouble with this in this photo , you will see the main control panel in my RV , i use this to turn on my water pump , it also has a display to show the state of the blank and grey tanks and it also shows the battery voltage Issue one: - the display no longer displays anything , its just dark grey and wont show any picture - the water pump will not turn on I can turn on the porch light and the entry light , so those two lights do still have power and i can turn them on fully from the display , but the water pump will not turn on , and the display button itself will not show anything I am without water not for weeks because of this and ive been too busy to rectify this but its starting to become a big problem now. Pls tell me your thoughts? I think the pump might be bad because it froze up last month and i heart it kind of struggling to work, not sure if the pump and the display issue are related Re: What did you do to your Camper Today? jaycocreek wrote: I don't really mind the smaller tv screen camping but the tinny sound drives me nuts..Like the built in radio with built in speakers versus the hand held battery operated radio sound....The larger 24" tv sounds a lot better.. I bought this little soundbar to help with the sound , i connect mine to my firestick through bluetooth and the sound is great for the cost and the size https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07DL4J6NZ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 it does need 110v power but thats not a problem for me , it only pulls like 1 ampRe: Renting My Truck CamperReally interesting discussion and thanks for all the input. When i decided to move into my truck camper full time, i was paying over 2k a month for a one bedroom in queens, i was so sick and tired of overpaying for an apt i hated and didnt even own. its been about 8 months now, i was able to hit the reset button on my finances, regroup , and the process of downsizing/ minimizing taught me a lot about what i thought i needed to be happy, One area where i've struggled is dating, most women just arent into it and as much as i love saving all this money, i also would like to meet a long term partner So before i made this post, a couple weeks prior my mother had proposed to me that a family friend had an apartment opening up soon and was willing to rent it for $1000 a month , in a really nice area close to other members of my family So the question becomes, well if i do take this apartment, what can i do with my camper? maybe i can turn it into another source of income, maybe sell it? and thats what prompted the original post After paying $325 a month for this camper for the last 8 months , the prospect of going back to renting wasn't exactly appealing, but the deal was just too good to pass up. If i cant rent my RV without taking massive risk then im going to sell itRe: Renting My Truck Camper SoonDockin wrote: If its on the ground and well supported, then that's probably good. Personally I would not rent mine, but I understand why it might be ok for others. If the camper was on a vehicle, any number of things can go wrong, low limbs, giant potholes or humped railroad tracks taken at speed. Good luck with whatever decision you make. thanks a lot, i think renting it while im in the city for work could work out really well, and then i can use it was my own personal escape when im off. its all falling into place. But finding the right piece of land is really difficult , especially when you're 3-4 hours away and the pictures are never really goodRe: Renting My Truck CamperThe more i think about it , the camper by itself without the truck , in a more private setting tucked away in the woods may actually be even more desirable to rent than at a campsite , and i would feel more comfortable renting the camper off the truck on my own land , so maybe my reservation is more about the truck than the camper itself.Re: Renting My Truck Camper Bedlam wrote: Maybe use the camper on your property till you get a permanent structure? Yes i think that will end up working out perfectly , use the camper on my land while i save up to build. Its going to be greatRe: Renting My Truck CamperThanks a lot for all the feedback guys , very interesting replies. There is a lot to consider, but after sleeping on it a couple nights i think maybe renting a truck camper without actually wanting people to drive your truck is not really ideal for prospective renters. Maybe if i had a bare bones RV i didnt care about much and just looked at it as a business , but i do really like my camper and ive put a lot of work into the upgrades. I have shifted my focus now to buying some land and building an off grid cabin so i think i may sell the camper and the truck. Its been 6 months and deff an interesting ride , we'll see what happensRe: Renting My Truck Camper Bedlam wrote: Oregon has a number of parks that are supplied by third party RV rentals. They haul in a trailer and set it up and then haul it away and clean it up for the next rental. I have friends that have rented like this in OR and NV because they used their tow vehicle to bring off road toys and didn't have a truck camper. very cool , well there is some hope then. But im having a bit of an issue , all the good NYS parks that have campgrounds are closed for the season , most of them close from November-April , my plan was to use the state parks as the rental locations. There are some other county run campgrounds but i need to check if theyre open
