I don't know how big your gas tank is, but you will more than likely not be happy with how often you will have to stop for fuel. I hope the rear suspension in your Pathfinder is better than my '06 Xterra. Before we sold it I was really considering Timbren's because we would bottom out over speed bumps and one time I had a large individual in my back seat and experienced terrible handling with the truck. Look inside the frame of the drivers door and it will tell you all the specs for the X especially the CCC. Let me know if you want to know the part number for the trailer lights. Our hitch was placed aftermarket so I don't remember the capacity of the hitch. There is a website for X owners called Xterra Owners Club. I owned a 2006 Xterra and the rear suspension is horrible and you'll squat with very little hitch weight. Check your cargo carrying capacity as that will limit you on trailer size. I towed jet ski's and a small 20' boat with the X and did well. You might need timbren's on the rear. Did your X come with the towing package and lights? Also, if your towing a trailer be ready to stop numerous times on your trip due to a small gas tank. This would not be my vehicle of choice for towing a travel trailer. If it rains or had recently rained PCH will probably have some issues. Still don't know when you are going, but I recommend early Sat or Sunday morning and I would take the 405. I actually would not take PCH or the 101. The 101/405 interchange can be ugly as many cars try to make their way over and leave little to no room for breaking on a down hill approach to the 101. I'd actually take the 405 to the 126 and head west. The 126 turns into the 101 near the Oxnard/Ventura line.240Views0likes0Comments
