Best to have it checked, tho.Re: hauling capabilityI called customer service at Dodge. Gave them the VIN and they gave me the payload figure for the truck I had. I then chose my truck camper. Worked out very good.Re: Installing new vinyl trim inserts, caulk or no caulk?I did what MFL did when I replaced the vinyl trim. New stainless steel screws with a dab of caulk before tightening them down.Re: Need Help! Can't get anyone to work on my F53 6.8 enginI called Ford Customer Service one time, with Vin and asked them who in my area would work on my Class A motorhome. They were very helpful.Re: Practice makes perfectMy husband had our 12volt plug in the car hardwired to the battery. It did not have enough voltage for our brake buddy. No problems after that. He measured the voltage in the 12v plug with a little meter.Re: What size waste tank to buy?I have a 30gal black tank. I wanted a 30 gal tote, but could only find a 21 gal. tote. Believe me, when full, 21 gal x 8# per gal was enough that I could not pick it up to dump at the dump station. I learned real quick to make 2 trips. Approx 168# was too much for me.Re: Will a truck camper fit over the 5er rails in the truck bed?I bought a new truck camper back in 2019. Knew nothing about truck campers. I did research the payload of the bed of my 2500 HD Dodge Ram crew cab, long bed. I found a truck camper that came in about 800# less than the payload, which was great. Allowed for "some" stuff. Turned out it was a perfect match with air bags installed. No sway. So, I would suggest researching the payload of your truck bed and go from there. I would think pulling the 5000# trailer, IMO, would be OK. I agree with HappyCamper...2x4's in truck bed should allow for the rails.Re: I-90 Missoula to BillingsWent that route a couple of years ago. It was very good. I was "dragging", too.Re: Good, affordable place to set up for towing? On one set-up, I got a used Blue Ox tow bar, new base plate, a used Brake Buddy Classic supplemental braking system and all the wiring for around 1800.00, from a RV dealer. Their service dept did all the work. Lasted me for several years. Installed price. I would go that route again.Re: Battery Light on MonitorI checked the 12 volt plug in the trailer with a 12 volt meter. It read 13.3. I am plugged into shore power. I am thinking I also need to shut the 30 amp breaker off and then check it again? I don't have a multimeter.. yet.
