All ActivityMost RecentMost LikesSolutionsNorcold not coolingI have a Norcold N611V refr. It seems OK as the light comes on green with 120V hookup. But it will not cool (Frzr or Refr.). I unplugged the electric and I heard the piezo lighter and propane start. The freezer got cold but that was all. I'm planning on leaving for AK in a few hours. Can anybody troubleshoot this for me?Re: Satellite radio reception in the far north.OK, extra CDs it is. Thanks.Satellite radio reception in the far north.I was just wondering if I need to bring a bunch of CDs with me or will my XM/SIRIUS radio still receive signals way up north. Thanks for the help if anybody knows firsthand what reception is like.Re: Making the plungeThanks a lot for all the responses. It really helps ease my mind as I've been reading so much here about all the things that can happen and I'm a bit concerned about trying to have a relatively safe and uneventful journey. Reading all the "horror stories" from others about things that I don't even want to think bout. Thanks again and maybe I'll meet a few of you on our journey.Making the plungeWe were going to try to make the trip last year but we are going to make the plunge right after Memorial Day. We are probably making a huge mistake but we have made no plans/reservations of any kind. Not even sure what route we will take or even what our final destination will be. We are leaving from SE Iowa and plan on leaving on June 2nd. Go ahead and pile on. Bob and ShelleyRe: Wide Range of PricesWhen I bought our TT I did a lot of research, found the make and model I wanted and then looked for prices. I found a $5,000.00 difference from high to low. I ended up driving 600 miles to get mine and glad I did. One big problem is that trying to get service/warranty work is difficult since the dealers only want to do warranty work on units they sold. I got around that too since I have a dealer 1/4 mile from my house who did the warranty work and then I sent the bill to the manufacturer and they reimbursed me for the total bill. Good luck!Re: Damage after a tire blow outI'm still a relative newbie here and really appreciate the back and forth you all provide to give some insight into this topic. Some of you might remember my first post as it was about tires. My brand new trailer blew a tire on the way home from dealership after taking delivery. I ended up buying four new tires from a local dealer in town who knows his product quite well as I have purchased at least five sets of tire from him over the years. I just like picking up a tidbit here and there and trying to muddle through a lot of stuff I deem inconsequential to my agenda, Thanks again to everyone.Re: Financing Q'sI always like to have enough money down and never finance too long of a period. Doing either one or both can put you "upside down" on your purchase and put you in a bad spot if you total it out in an accident or need to sell or trade it in you will owe more than it's worth putting yourself upside down in your loan.Re: Stuff sliding around on shelves Roy&Lynne wrote: What about that sticky on one side shelf liner, the kind you paste down. They may have some that have a rough finish. BTW,just because your rig is new doesn't mean the tires are okay. Believe me Yup, I blew a tire on my brand new TT on the way home from the dealership after everything was fully inspected, including tire pressures.Re: Rookie mistakes?Sorry, I have a 2015-coachmen-catalina-253rks-new-travel-trailer. I think I have some good info now to go get a better look at things. Thanks!
