My trailer is 16 years old and knock on wood, I had less issues with it than many with new trailers. I tend to not agree with that statement. We are now on our third hybrid, and so far, we noticed how improved they have become. From a Travelstar, to a Palomino, to a Roo 23ws, the improvements are there! They are so much easier to set up (no more bungies), easier to winterize (from outside), easier to clean the black tank (there's an inlet outside), and I'm sure I forgot a few things! Plus, I don't think the material quality has suffered. DreRe: Am I making the right hybrid manufacturer decision? donn0128 wrote: Typical hybrids have many issues, from quality to build methods. If you have a full sized truck? What ever that means. Why not step up to a decent used fill hard side TT? Buying used you will find much more for less $$$ spent. Weird how donn0128 made that comment and never came back to back it up !!!! Did he ever own an Hybrid before making these comments !! We are now on our third hybrid and just love them, and don't see the day where we'll go to something else !Re: Am I making the right hybrid manufacturer decision?Just love what Chuck and parker.rowe wrote.......Totally agree with them. We are on our third hybrid and love it. We lost our first one when a pine tree fell on it.......oh well ! the insurance gave me more then what I paid for! We sold the second one... we thought we were gonna be seasonal but I'm sure you know hybrid is not the best camper if you be seasonal.......and finally our plans changed! Good chance, we sold the second one the price we paid for it two years earlier. So........we bought that third one......Goes to show how much we love hybrids ! Seems every time we went out, it rained. Everything was always wet. That's what I really remember about those days. Did it stop raining since you bought your Montana, or is there a black cloud that follows you wherever you go ! DreRe: Am I making the right hybrid manufacturer decision?I can't believe how many negative answers you're getting..........I seriously think those folks NEVER had an Hybrid. We are now on our third one and I don't think we'll ever go for something else. We now have a Roo 23ws and simply love it! If I were you , I would go on Forest River forum site and read about how people are happy with their Hybrids...... Look for 2018 Roo 23IKSS - One year laterRe: Camping at NY state parks after they closeHere in Maine, the State Park campgrounds close after Labor Day weekend. However, you can still go camping until Columbus Day depending on the weather (Call first). There is no one at the gate....but the prices are posted and you just put the money in the envelopes provided. Once in a while, a ranger will come to pick up the envelopes and tour the campground. You first go and pick your site (water/electricity sites are still available). Once you're setup, you go back at the front gate and pay.Re: Your customs experiences re-entering the US from Canada? drenjoey wrote: HadEnough wrote: They confiscated my illegal tomatoes!! I have to comment on my comment: First......Lemons and limes don't grow in Canada. They come from the States. Why do they confiscate things from their own country? Second.....We didn't even buy those lemons and limes in Canada. We brought them with us and the agent at the Canadian border didn't even ask about fruits or veggies !!!!!!Re: Your customs experiences re-entering the US from Canada?
