"I just don't know how they (Hyundai) do it, we've been losing our a$h on these things," a former spokesman for the company said in an interview last Tuesday From the files of "Headlines you'll never read" It takes real QUALITY to offer and honor a 100k drive train warranty. Manufacturers care about sales, not quality. Sorry, but I think your comment about not caring about quality is far from the case. It is hard to maintain sales without quality. Outside of those that troll the internet for horror stories of catastrophic failure of their favorite brand to bash, it is unusual to hear about a powertrain failure before 100,000 miles. I think that number is MUCH closer to 200,000 miles now. Regardless of manufacture. Quality matters, and across the board it is pretty good. All of you saying you don't hear of many powertrain failures in the first 100,000 miles must not know any Acadia, Enclave, or Traverse owners. I rarely bash but in this case GM deserves it. The Lamba line of vehicles are built with Yugo quality.Re: Buying a previous rental?I bought a class A private sale that was originally a rental. Is it perfect? No way but the price reflected its condition. My best advise to you is analyze your mechanical ability. My wife and I are also in our 30's with a 4 and 2 yr old. We couldn't afford to do this if I had to pay to have the maintenance and repairs done. So far nothing came up I couldn't fix. I also second the bunk model. I have an 07 Coachmen Mirada 350DS and the kids having their own area is golden. They almost always go to bed before us which would make the living area unusable if we had to use it for a sleeping area. I never owned a camper of any kind before but I can't imagine doing it in any other than a class A. My kids love it! What state are you from? I would love to go camping with others that have kids the same age as mine. I live in Gilbertsville PA which is about 30 mins West of Philly. PM me if you don't want to say publicly.Re: First trip under my belt..Your trucks stance is awesome! Really sharp.Re: SE PA/DE/E MD families? We're neighbors.
