One has to go thru all the posts to see conversations, groups are comingled ie truck campers lumped with travel trailers, routes lumped with campgrounds, etc. Older conversations which have not had recent replys are intermingled with active ones. The whole thing is very bulky. Re: Travel Trailer TiresIt seems that even being more expensive Goodyear Endurance is still subject to the 5 year failure problem. Just pulled off one date coded 3618 with a belt shift. Luckily I found it at home and not on the highway.Re: Travel Trailer TiresCurrently using Goodyear Endurance that are 4 yeas old. Goodyear warrants them for 6 - time will tell.Re: Domestic powered awning - raise outer edgeEasiest solution is to not fully extend. I have a dark colored awning and found that if you stop extension when the roller is slightly higher than at the sidewall it is actually cooler underneath than at full extension. This allows the hot air to escape rather than being trapped at the apex.Re: Gulf State Park, ALThey will not let you check in until 2. They will let you park at the boat launch area until check in time. They are also strict on check out time.Re: 30ft Travel Trailer how common in the USThose look bigger than 30 feet. The first one appears to have an aluminum frame, which is interesting.Re: A-Liner SwaySway controls are a poor band aid fix for lack of proper tongue weight. Trailers need a minimum of 10% of total weight on the tongue to track properly.Re: AC duct leakingMost ceiling registers used in RVs have a louvered section that will come out. Once that is removed you will be able to see where the assembly attaches to the duct work. That is where it is often not sealed well.Re: AC duct leakingMost likely the ducts were not sealed properly at the A/C unit and/or the various registers. To check the unit connections you need to drop the ceiling assy. of the unit. To check the registers; generally the louvered portion pops out. Any gaps in the connections can be sealed with metallic duct tape available at HVAC or plumbing supply houses.Re: Dometic AC freezing upIf you are getting icing you likely have an an airflow problem. Is evap. coil clean? Filter clean? Duct work clear and ALL registers open? Ceiling assembly installed and sealed correctly?
