I've replaced it once, but don't know if I can get to it before we need to go. My camper is the one in my pic. It's a 23 ft, overall 25.5 ft hitch to bumper, travel trailer. Fully loaded it weighs 6000. According to trailer life towing guide the Durango has an 8700 tow rating. Other than wheel base is there any reason I can't use the Durango this time? Also, is the frame.if the Durango strong enough to handle weight distribution bars? Any help would be great.Re: Tongue Jack NeededSorry it's been so long sense I got back here. First shoulder surgery and then opening a new store through all the chaos. So my question is do all the aforementioned jacks have crank back up?Re: Melting wiresI agree on the loose wires. I go through all the wires at the panel in my TT at the beginning of the year and tighten them just to make sure this does not happen. Might be a good practice for your preventative maintenance check list each year. Sorry to hear this has happened.Re: Tongue Jack NeededSo how is this one? AtwoodTongue Jack NeededSo I messed upy shoulder last year and now am in need of installing an electric tongue Jack on the TT. I have been reading and researching, but would like some ideas on what you have and what is good out there.Re: TT television Johno02 wrote: go to walmart and get the cheapest one that fits. It will work for the next ten years... Agreed. Whatever you can find will work.Re: That time of yearwinterized mine a month ago. We shut down after the first weekend of October. Good tho bad did. Been freezing weather.Re: Havent camped in 2 yearsI know the feeling. This last winter I took a spill and tore up my rotator and had to go in for surgery. Haven't been able to get out this year and I am kitchen to go. Hope recovery has been good to you.Re: Water lines are killing meAs for winterizing the trailer. I do both. I blow out all the lines and then put in antifreeze. I am thinking it is just age. The camper is a 98 and we have had it for 10 years and from what I can see the lines and even the pump are original. rbpru, sorry to hear you are having issues also. hope you can figure it out and get back at it.Water lines are killing meIt has been a crazy weekend for water lines. First the pressure water inlet starts leaking. Fixed that. Second the coupler connecting the line from the fresh tank to the pump starts leaking and when. I try to take it off to see what's up the nipple on the pump shears off. New pump and fittings and we have water again. Now this morning getting ready to take a shower and I hear a loud pop and water rushing. The bypass valve for the water heater blew apart. Took off the winterizing kit and put the lines dirct to the water heater and now it is heating back up. What else can go wrong this weekend? We are living in the camper for the next month and I hope the madness stops. So my question is water got into the carpet under the bed, how do I dry it all out?
