What I think you should do is go to NAPA or other supply and ask for the top of the line rotors, pads, calipers and flex lines for the front. Don't bother turning rotors, they will be to thin and warp, they just won't have the heat capacity for the front of your rig. Also, if I were you, I would do the same, full kit on the back, new pads, rear drums, internal brake parts kit including the star wheels. These parts don't last forever and a big part of fronts is the caliper slide pins and sticking which causes big uneven wear and warping. In the drums on the back, same thing holds true, poor adjustments, means you are pushing the pedal a long way. Once this is all done, bleed all the old fluid out, new fluid with no water in it doesn't boil as easy and is going to perform much better. Finally, you have a hydro boost, replace the fluid in it, suck out the tank, place in new, jack up front and cycle wheels side to side, suck out the fluid again, replace with new fluid(mercon transmission fluid, it also runs the power steering right?) Do this several times. This is all very important, your hydro boost is telling you it's not happy, you should not have to push so hard, the hydro boost is used on F250, F350 diesels for many years, and is still used today. Make sure this is all working properly, I am thinking this all needs to be done right so you can get the full performance of the braking system back.Re: blackmax 3000 w generator with Honda engineYou never never run a Benny in an enclosed space like a garage. Go full HONDA and you will never be sorry if its for camping. If its just for emergencies, and you don't mind noise, then spend $400 to $500 and be done. You get what up you pay for.Re: Honda EU3000IS/15kColeman AC?If that's all that is running, should not be a problem. Good for 23.3 amps peak load, maybe a bit more. You may want to be sure no other loads are Ono it, and that Eco throttle is off. Main issue is starting the compressor. Any other loads planned?Re: TV recommendations for a large familyYou really need to stop overlooking the excursions. With you r whole family in it, it will drive nice, it has the room, the cup holders and amenities, 4 by 4. Get a v10 over a diesel, you want to by 6.0 diesels very carefully so you don't inherit problems. They can be very good if properly maintained but since you are buying used I would not recommend. V10 for towing is a far better option than the smaller gas v8 for the load and trailer comfort towing. Of course a suburban with the 8.1 is a great option too. You need a heavy tow vehicle as you will be loaded up with your family and pulling a trailer, this also gets you the best safety equipment by going SUV over Van. Don't be afraid to scour nationwide and fly to the right vehicle. You really want a good towing vehicle for your family, don't under buy with all that precious cargo. Bonus is you will have a very safe winter 4 by 4 to go with it.Re: Natural gas addition to gensetWhen you are in a hurricane, evac, the best fuel is the stuff you already have, gas or diesel. Ain't l,ely to have much NG or access to propane. At least you have gas in all your vehicle tanks. 3000 Honda would be the most miserly on gas, echo throttle, and run the essentials.
