We used it in -10C weather, but I think thats about the limit. I would not go out in colder weather. Some dump stations were frozen solid. Boon docked a few nights at this temp. also. But it's not really comfy without being plugged into a power source. I had to run the generator often. The cold weather showed up by surprise and we did not expect it. Was in october, on the Yellowhead Highway. Also got 12 inches of snow.Re: Bugs???Everything about bugs in that area is blown out of proportion. No big deal, and go on your trip.Re: The OkanaganStayed 6 years in a row in Oliver at Apple Beach. When the older single lady was running it with her son, it was awesome. She sold it to a British couple and we stopped going there. These people were a disaster. Check the reviews on the internet. I found out that they sold it, so, we might go back in spring for about 3 weeks. it's a good base for exploring the area. They have a good internet connection which is important to me to stay in contact with family and business.Re: Trans Canada HwyTCH is the fastest way to drive across Canada. Done it 3 times. On the way back we drove secondary roads. Great trip. Lots of campsites. (And Walmarts...lol)Re: A great BC park to visitFall colours are great at Mahood Lake. I drove there from 100 Mile House, west side of the park.Re: ALERTYou have to remember that some of these place in the Rockies and Alaska Highway are in remote areas. It cost a lot to deliver gasoline to these outlets. Also, some have no power and run their pumps on diesel generators which adds to the cost. Be happy you can buy gas at these places. Otherwise you would be out of luck.Re: Alberta to Quebec luckyd wrote: As a Canadian, I feel that when I say "I went across Canada" this means I actually drove across Canada. We did this three years ago and came back across the USA. We took Hwy 2 one other time when we were not doing the complete trip. Living in BC we have done that 6 times and never went through the US. We took different routes, except entering Quebec we went through Salaberry to avoid the hassle around and in Montreal. The Yellowhead Highway and Trans Canada Highway were taken if in a bit of a hurry. But we also took several secondary roads, staying overnight in small towns.Re: Newbie - Sewer hose recommendation? ron.dittmer wrote: Our Phoenix Cruiser has a Macerator system built-in but I carry a Rhino flex hose in case a mechanical issue occurs....none yet in 10 years. I bought the Rhino during an end-of-season clearance at Walmart twice now for around $10 a set. So I have two full sets because they were so very cheap. Interesting that the Rhino can be sealed at each end for cleaner storing. Same here, macerator has been working great for years and years. Yes, a bit slower to dump, but cleaner.
