Does anyone know if this is possible? Thanks LennieRe: Traveling in a Class A with 5 Cats and a Dog :)Hi we travel with 2 cats and 2 dogs. We have their scratching post from the house, their litter box (by shower), toys and their beds. They travel pretty good but tend to hide under the couch if someone comes by. Cisco will come lay on the dash on the passenger side for awhile and Ali the other cat will curl on on the bed. They do like to look out the windows sometimes when travelling but not always. They love to sit in the window at new places and see out. MAKE SURE they have collars with id on and micro chip is even better. YOU MUST CAT PROOF LITTLE SPOTS - by slides etc to make sure they arenèt hiding in their when you put your slides out. Mine hide behind the couch which is great as I can watch them and hubby can put the slide out. Crating works well if they donèt mind the crates -- but cats are like us and need to be able to stretch. Bear in mind they are marvelous escape artists and will dash outside if given the chance. Ours are harness trained plus we have an outdoor cat run for when we are set up. Will look forward to the pictures of divider but fear you may find it more nuisance than help. LennieRe: How do you install front window drape hardware?NCrowley Wow never heard of magnashades - will see if we can get them here in Canada. Many thanks. LennieHow do you install front window drape hardware?Hi We have a 2014 bounder and it came with a motorized black vinyl front shade that really creates an oven for our poor animals on a hot day. The screens on the side windows aren't bad but would really like to do the curtains you see in so many Class A's. Only problem is there isn't anyone in our park with these and we aren't sure how the curtains are hung? Are they on an ibeam? What kind of brackets? Thanks for any help. LennieRe: Traveling Companions and the RESTRICTIONSWe always use a pen if we are staying more than a day in a Cg and haven't had an issue. We have two small dogs and they know that the pen is the spot to "go" which makes it easy for us to clean up. It keeps our dogs safe from other dogs that snap a leash and attack them. It allows them the freedom to wander within the pen while we sit in our chairs and relax. We also enclose our steps so our two cats can come in and out of the RV. The cats are leash trained but neither is fond of strangers so I prefer to have the leash on them and the door open so they can scoot inside when they need to. The pen stops them from going underneath the rv and slipping away after a squirrel. Personally I feel that someone who goes to the trouble of penning their dogs are very responsible and they are ensureing that their dogs leashes don't scrape up the ground or local flora and fauna. Much easier to ensure all is scooped because its in one spot and it allows the zoo to stay with the family. Any CG that says no to a pen we do follow their rules but we try to avoid those cgs.Re: Keeping cats cool in a Pick-up CabHi We have travelled since 04 with 2 cats and 2 small dogs. Our zoo travels loose in our pickup and we learned the hard way not to leave the vehicle parked with the ac on. It was lucky I was in the veh when my cat decided to chase a fly out the drivers window and hit the window button. I was able to grab her before she escaped. We do have crates in the veh and now if its a short stop we put the cats in the crate and the dogs are ok as they are clipped on seatbelts. If its a longer stop we pack everyone back to the 5th wheel and let them wander in there with their litter box and food and water. Works well for us.Re: 06 Duramax will not start, theft lockout?Well this is intriguing. We HAD a 2004 Duramax that we loved. We were away from home with the 5er and the truck wouldn't start. Wait a few minutes and away it went. Down the road it did it again. Call a GM dealer and they arrive and it starts. Grr. Same thing again only this time they couldn't get it to start. Battery and cables all good. Relay switches all good. New starter, new ignition switch, remove add on remote start, and numerous other expensive fixes and it still would do the intermittent no start deal. Turn the key and nada nothing. Totally dead. Well its traded off on an 11 Dodge ram (doesn't have half the pulling power) and wife decides she is in love with an 04 Tahoe. Perfect for her and the zoo. Oops we forgot about the no start problem and now 8 months later it is doing the same thing. HELP. No clue what to do and as seniors cant afford to replace everything in the Tahoe. Did ask local dealer and they say for 140.00 an hour we will check it for you. Any ideas out there?
