I sold it and now have a Ford with zero issues. I just need to figure out how to change my screen name now.Re: 1 Ton SRW Challenge Cummins12V98 wrote: Walaby wrote: Don't get all worked up over silly little tests. The Cummins has been great but everything else is a problem. :MRe: best Ram Cummins Forum?I've never had any issues with Cummins forum.Re: Breakdown of truck sales 2016 FishOnOne wrote: patriotgrunt wrote: blt2ski wrote: Are you.all done.disCUSSing the sales figures......loops, good and bad of each brand truck per your stinky.hole?!?!? ;) Marty It has been fun! This is the most lively board in this forum. Can't wait to see February's sales numbers so we can start again. :B I agree.... With the exception of a ram owner who's got a truck with problems as it's obvious he knows how to address the issue. As a reminder my cousin wrenches on these ram trucks and I got an ear full of trending problems during our Christmas get together. Yes the 6.0PSD and the 6.4PSD kept him busy but now that there out of warranty there are less diesel techs required in the Ford shop than the Chrysler shop for a few years now and this dealer sells more Fords to boot. I'm a long way off from trading it in just yet. First I have to win over the wife and convince her that this is justified. Next I have to find a deal and finally I need to know how to change my user handle. I'm ok adding Former to the front.Re: Breakdown of truck sales 2016 Wild Card wrote: RamGuy2500 wrote: spoon059 wrote: RamGuy2500 wrote: The resale value on my current Ram is killing me. I'm going to take a blood bath trading it in. Just curious, if you think Ram is so terrible and GM and Ford are so vastly superior... why did you buy a Ram in the first place? Furthermore, where are you looking to sell that you can't get a decent trade in price on a 3 year old diesel? Around my parts, the used diesels cost darn near as much as brand new ones... including the "horrible" Rams... I purchased my Ram without any care about resale value because I figured it would last 4ever. I guess they fooled me. So far I've only discussed a trade with my dealer and the price he's offered me is a joke even after they know how upset I am with my truck. I guess I'm going to have a discussion with my local Ford and Chevy dealers now. You didn't answer any of the questions. What seems to be the problem with your Ram? I answered all of the questions Spoon asked. If you want to know what went wrong with my truck then where do I start? Too many to list. Check my previous threads. Its in the shop all the time.Re: Breakdown of truck sales 2016 spoon059 wrote: RamGuy2500 wrote: The resale value on my current Ram is killing me. I'm going to take a blood bath trading it in. Come to think of it, changing the fuel filters is pretty easy too on the Fords and I don't have to worry about the transmission until 150K miles. Great reasons to not buy a truck! Wow with all that and great mirrors i'm bout ready to jump ship! Well there's more reasons than that but I don't want to spend hours typing them out. You'd be here all day reading and then you'd spend the next few days haggling with dealers trying to trade your Ram in on a good Ford. I'd rather you drive in ignorance and not know what your missing. Between owning Fords and driving several Super Duties at work I know there's very little that current generation Ram owners are missing. And playing Russian roulette with the "delicate" CP4 HPFP is something I'll gladly miss out on! ;) You're right...its way better to play Russian roulette with your entire truck. When's the last time Ford was ordered to conduct a mass buyback? Should have been ordered a buyback with the 6.0 and 6.4 abortions of an engine. They should buyback my Ram :MRe: Breakdown of truck sales 2016 blofgren wrote: RamGuy2500 wrote: spud1957 wrote: I'm nursing a strained back and had some time today to wander over to the Dieselstop which I frequented often when I owned my Ford diesels. Let's just say after a few minutes reading the 6.7L forum (with my jaw on the floor I'm sure) I was very happy with my decision to buy a Cummins. I read of several complete engine failures at low mileages. As much as the 6.0L had a lot of nasty problems complete engine failure was rare. Not so much with the 6.7L. Say what you might about the Ram but the latest generation is much better than previous generations and the Ram forums are COMPLETELY different than the Ford diesel forums. Yes there are a few people with some issues (most relatively minor) but nothing like I read today. I'm very happy I got off the Blue Koolaid. Based on CR surveys some Ram owners may dissagree. http://news.pickuptrucks.com/2016/10/ram-ranks-last-in-consumer-reports-reliability-survey.html My Ram is a turd. I'm ready to dump it after all the time its been in the shop. Everything is a disaster waiting to happen. Don't believe the Ram mafia hype. Just because you got a bad one doesn't mean they are all bad. What do you intend to replace it with? Likely not a Ram. The resale value on my current Ram is killing me. I'm going to take a blood bath trading it in. Also, the better HD trucks on the market are relatively new and more expensive. Ford and GM both have new diesels with more power but they're not discounting them yet. I have to say that the new 17 Super Duty is a fine truck ;)Re: Breakdown of truck sales 2016 blofgren wrote: spud1957 wrote: I'm nursing a strained back and had some time today to wander over to the Dieselstop which I frequented often when I owned my Ford diesels. The information is so vague it's ridiculous. One thing that I did notice is that owner satisfaction is Very Good. Good try though. :R Did you take the time to read my post. I hate my Ram because its always broke! I wish CR would give me a survey. Worst of all, my Ram dealer seems to give two hoots about my concerns.Re: Breakdown of truck sales 2016 spud1957 wrote: I'm nursing a strained back and had some time today to wander over to the Dieselstop which I frequented often when I owned my Ford diesels.
