It is in my opinion the singlemost valuable investment I made for my camping enjoyment.5th wheel toy hauler input ,advice, helpI have been looking a lot at toy haulers, and am considering at this point two different brands, mainly because economically these are the ones that have what we would like , in a price that we could easily handle. One is the Palomino Puma brand, considering the 382THS or the 383DSS . The other brand is the Forest River Cherokee Wolf Pack 315PAC12 or the 325PAC13 . I would appreciate any comments on either of these two brands and models, good or bad, as well as any other toy haulers similar in layout, size , and price to consider. Tow vehicle is a 2019 F350 4X4 gas SRW ,with the factory 5th wheel prep.Im still studying weights and such so I don't know how much bigger weightwise I could safely consider. Thanks in advance you any and all comments.Re: I hate searching out propanejust learned today the Menards store by me has a 24 hour tank exchange machine out in front of the store, a pretty handy thing once you know they have it, but if you were looking to exchange a tank after closing hours and werent aware of it, youd just drive by. Exchanges on the 20 pounders were $15 and change there.Re: New owner of a Hybrid TTI'm with Tlauden, couldn't ya jew him down a little bit??? congrats, and happy camping. X Chock?I use the x chocks, and have mixed thoughts on them. Yes they do help in stabilizing the trailer, but I am not sure exactly how tight to crank them. I can see the wheels getting pushed apart as I tighten them, and I am always afraid I am doing some kind of damage by tightening them. I really like the ones Dakota98 has there, they look very nice.Re: What Wheel Chock Do you prefer. X Chock?I use the x chocks, and have mixed thoughts on them. A piece of plexiglass about 3 or 4 inches bigger than the affected area. I filled the hole with clear silicone, and put a fat bead of silicone around the plexiglass about 1/2 inch in the from the edges. Then I placed that directly over the hole, and weighted it down with enough pressure to squish the silicone out along the edges of plexi, and I fingered a nice radius on it and let it dry.It wasn't very noticeable, and it held strong. I had the pup for about 12 years after doing this, and never had to do anything more to that patch job. Cheap, functional, and durable.Re: Tongue Weight problemCongrats on the purchase, your going to really love it!Re: Tongue Weight problemThis is a great thread, and handled very well by everyone. Thank you vivaster for accepting the facts presented politely. Most of the time when situations arise like yours, one will ask the questions you've asked, and then get all smug for receiving the truth. I wish there were more people like you that understand that sometimes things just don't work out as one hopes.
