Already have confirmed reservations in Grant Teton NP and Fort Welikit in Custer. Great campground. Close to everything, and nice people. Make sure you see the nightly laser show at Crazy Horse Memorial. As others have posted, plenty to do and see in the area.Re: New Hampshire suggestionsAmes Brook Campground in Andover. Great location and close to most things. Just over an hour to Mount Washington. Close to the Lakes region and very nice campground.Re: Route 7 thru NY and Route 9 thru VermontI live in Wilmington, VT (just east of Hogback). Route 7 in new York is twisty but no issues in a motorhome. make sure you take route 279 around Bennington. Much easier than driving through town , and the views from that road are also very nice. Once you get east of Bennington, you will climb and climb on Route 9. There is a truck lane, so no issues with speed. Enjoy Route 9, and the towns of Woodford and Searsburg. WATCH for moose. On the descent into Wilmington, you will have a major downhill. Feel free to stop in town (free parking by the old high school) and spend lots of money. We can use it. Once through town, continue Route 9 east to Hogback (plenty of parking before summit on right shoulder, but none east of gift shop). Enjoy the views and then head off east. Route 9 is twisty and has a few down hills, but nothing too serious. Enjoy the ride, but watch your speed. I regularly tow my 38 toy hauler on this route with no issues. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me. Have a safe trip. MarcRe: Toy Hauler Pictures2017 KZ Sportsman Sportster 315TH12. This is my first RV and will be used to haul my Victory Cross Country Tour across our great country. Also used as my home when working the NASCAR races at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. This picture was taken just after picking the trailer up at the factory. I opted for the decal delete option. Re: AcadiaI live in Wilmington, VT (on Route 9). Sorry about not seeing this post sooner. Route 9 is a very scenic two-lane road with some very steep hills ( up and down). There are truck lanes in most spots for the climbing. Make sure you can down shift for the long down hills, or toy will destroy your brakes. Make sure you pull over on top of Hogback Mountain (lots of parking) and take in the view. Once you get to Brattleboro, VT take I 91 north (one exit) to exit 3 and continue on thru New Hampshire. Stay on 9 until Keene, NH then up through Concord to Route 4 east. Again, lots of hills, but very pretty ride. Once you get to the seacoast, take I 95 north to I 295 north back to I 95 to Bangor, and then down to Aracia. Long ride, but well worth it. Safe travels.Re: Looking for a small 5th wheel toy hauler fiberglasslook for KZ. They make several smaller 5th wheels. I actually just bought a 315th12, but I needed a bigger garage.Re: Toy Hauler Member MapWilmington, Vermont signing in.
