When we pulled after a long, long drive, we found that unoccupied sites had been paid for by someone in a group, tossed out a couple of chairs - or not - and even though it looked relatively empty, we could not find a site. To say that DH was irritable is an understatement. We had our paperwork for our reservation and headed for the CG host. He apologized all over the place and after making several laps did find a site for us and it was very nice. But with a site being taken when there is no unit there and just putting up signs + not being able to reserve site specific meant that we weren't going to make that drive to find out we were out of luck. If you're thinking of GA, make sure you clarify.Re: Oven Temperature VariationOurs - both of them - always went the other direction...I had to lower temp about 25 degrees or so and start watching like a hawk several minutes before it should be ready. Many have used the pizza stone. I got cheap and just worked out my own system. Also, try to find pans that don't take up so much of the racks....need air to circulate. I've never heard of anyone who got theirs adjusted....just tweaked it according to their oven and went on.Re: Oven Temperature VariationOurs - both of them - always went the other direction...I had to lower temp about 25 degrees or so and start watching like a hawk several minutes before it should be ready. Several of our favorite CGs might work for up to 30', but over that it wouldn't work. Maybe check out some of the places you enjoy...would hate to lose those. Happy Camping!Re: A Camping Tradition That Costs $0In poor taste Dtiller. Even as a joke, it's seriously missing the target. The original post, very cool. I like it a lot. Do you have pix to along with the little containers?Re: Anyone here have a handicap assist system installed?Check into the companies that sell lifts for the hitch for power wheel chairs. This may need to be custom made, but can't see any reason why this isn't workable. Possibly a custom welding company could come up with an idea. Good luck with this....great that she's ready to get out and enjoy life again.Re: Rockwood Ultra Lite vs Freedom Express Liberty EditionWhile you're checking things inside, know in advance that the faucets in the kitchen and bath are junk....same thing for most manufacturers. You'll likely want to replace them with higher quality...yes, any standard home units fit. Some folks have not been thrilled with the sound system....we had no issues. Both of our trailers had an oven and we wouldn't consider one without it, but depends on your needs and how you camp. We would not be interested in an outdoor kitchen...would rather have that space used inside....but some love theirs. These items may not qualify as "construction quality" but it is a part of the whole package, so just some things to look at. Happy shopping...happier camping.Re: Traveling with open windowsAgree, all you'll accomplish is getting dust and dirt inside.Re: Rockwood Ultra Lite vs Freedom Express Liberty EditionBoth of our trailers have been Rockwood. First the ROO 23SS hybrid, then the '13 Rockwood Ultra Lite 2604. Both were very good quality, no issues at all, most little things could be tweaked with nothing more than a screwdriver. Not familiar with your other choice, but if we were in the market for another trailer, definitely would be another Rockwood.Re: Perplexed As To What To Call It But "30SecondsToCamper"Well, it's different. Given a choice of the 30-Second or a tent, I'd go with the tent. Didn't see the price, but being so unique it's likely overpriced. Can't figure out what the benefits would be. With a tent, you'd have room for your stuff....room to set up a little space to eat if needed in rainy weather. Still, interesting.
