Which do you prefer.I like back in best for the privacyRe: drain pipe to protect awningYep also used eternabond on mine but that was because mine was in bad shape where the roll is exposed when stored. That was 4 yrs ago at least and its still well adhered and has allowed me to get several more years out of the awning.Re: Fit, finish and quality comparison...I have a 2017 2500 ram tradesmen. My prior was a 2015 Silverado. I've been a ford man for a long time but have to say this ram is really nice. I looked at a 17 super duty before I bought the ram and it was very nice, but not 10k. Nicer. I was.not happy with my Silverado. Interior rattles started at 2000 miles, drivers seat got loose at 2500 miles, fixed under recall. GM 6 speed is the worst shifting automatic I've ever owned. I could go on. The ram is.not perfect but i like it much more. Maybe i just got a bad one? I think all 3 of the big 3 are good. Just my .02.Re: How well does the RAM 2500 6.4 Hemi tow?My 17,,6.4/3.73 geared truck pulls my 6k tt very well. Yeah she gets up in rpm in the mountains but once up there she pulls like a freight train. I have to back out of it some. I'd tow anything south of 10k with my truck all day long. North of 10k or if your full timing, yes go diesel, but I do love my 6.4. Its got a ton of juice. Just my .02.Re: Ford Ram GM Me Again wrote: thomas201 wrote: Buy the one that has the best seat (to your back and butt). Well that rules out RAM's Tradesman apple crate seats. I think my tradesman seats are very comfortable, personally. To each their own. All 3 of the big 3 build great trucks. It's all personal preference. Good luck.Re: Keep that trailer safe Westcoasting wrote: I had a 12 year old utility trailer and an older dirt bike stolen a couple years ago... luckily i was talked into replacement cost insurance and got a new trailer and way nicer bike. And higher insurance premiums to boot also I'd bet?Re: Parked on a slope with car still hitched...I use wedge chocks for the wheel on the ground and my roto chocks for the one on my Lynx revelers. Never a problem. When cranked down the roto chock will not pop out or loosen up. They are excellent! As far as lifting the rear of the tv so much that the tires are off the ground,,I'd not do that. The a frame on the tt is likely not rated to support that kind of weight. Just my .02Re: Towing without load level bars or sway controlAs others have said...as long as your loaded trailer tongue weight Is within the capacity of your receiver, give it a go and make your own decision. I have towed my 6k Layton several times with no wdh and had no issues. It hardly squatted the rear of my dodge at all. The only things I noted was the camper seemed to bounce a bit more with no wdh and I heard more slop in the 2"adapter without wdh engaged. Beyond that it's a good tow. I run no wdh on short local trips. If I'm going on a long highway run I'll use wdh and sway control just for added safety. Just my .02 and what I do. Good luck.Re: Headlights are too high towing, getting high beam flashed.I agree with the others, if you're getting flashed with that minimal amount of squat, they're probably ain't too high from the factory. I would try to adjust them a little bit lower for starters and see if that helps. Also agree with the others, glad you're addressing the problem instead of just ignoring it and blinding everyone. Is it common for an F-250 to squat that much with 700 lb of tongue weight? On occasion I pull my travel trailer without any weight distribution hitch hooked up, and I have maybe that much of squat in the rear. It doesn't move hardly much at all.Re: A new gas engine for GM heavy duty trucks is comingThis is good news. I hope ford Chevy and dodge build large displacement v8s again and I do personally hope ford goes back to a pushed v8. When they went to their modular engines they lost me, even though I'm still a ford man at heart. If they go back to a push rod v8 I'll strongly consider a super duty when the time comes to replace my ram.
