Our old one that we sold several years ago was 24 foot with only a small slide. Is anyone making one like that now?Re: San Antonio campgroundsThanks for the information. Mostly we are interested in the history and nature and of course, food, and not shopping, etc.San Antonio campgroundsI have been working on planning our southwest March camping trip and have finished with the National Parks, Monuments, etc. that we plan to visit. On the way back I thought a stop at San Antonio might be good. Does anyone have any suggestions about a campground that would be convenient to the attractions there? We have a Lance truck camper. We don't like big cities, but did want to see some of the things here. Thanks, BarbaraRe: Southwest TripI just finished reading all the posts so far. I have printed out several and plan on checking out the links that were posted later. Thanks so much for the suggestions. Now I'm really getting excited about this trip! I you think of anything else, let me know. Thanks, BarbaraRe: Southwest TripWe made a trip out west in 2013 that included most of the major parks and other attractions that we could comfortably visit in August/September. We thought it would be too hot to enjoy the desert areas so that is why we are going in late February/March. Some of the best parts of that trip were the lesser known monuments and ruins that were suggested by people on the Forum. That's why I would appreciate any suggestions! BarbaraSouthwest TripWe are planning a trip to the southwest beginning about the last week of February. We hope to see Death Valley, Joshua Tree, Saguaro, Carlsbad Caverns, Guadalupe Mountains, and Big Ben National Parks. Since we are leaving from Tennessee, we will take about 4 or 5 days to get to Death Valley on I-40 and then we stop at the other parks on our way back. Any suggestions or ideas that will help us on this trip would be appreciated. We have a Lance pickup camper. Are there other "must see" things near our route? We are doing our reading and planning now and I have found this forum to be a big help in the past. Thanks, BarbaraWhen to make trip to desert southwest?I have always been grateful for the advice and information I have received from this forum for the trips we made to Alaska in 2010 and out west last summer. Now we want to go to the desert Parks--Death Valley,Joshua Tree, Saguaro, and any other interesting monuments, Indians ruins, etc. along the way. I was thinking maybe late February into March, but I would really appreciate any information you could give me about this. We really enjoyed the monuments and lesser known Indian ruins we saw on our trip last summer. Thanks for your help.Re: Arrowhead Campground in Myrtle BeachThe first place we ever camped at the beach back in l967! We loved it and camped there every year until our children got to be teenagers and didn't want to camp with us any more. We really missed it after it closed. Any pictures would not be digital and I doubt if I could find them. We had friends who also camped there every year until it closed. Great memories!southwest itineraryWe have the first half of our western trip planned ending with Yosemite the middle of September. We have tried to include some of the national monuments and smaller parks that we missed on our first trip several years ago, I need help in planning a route after Yosemite. We would like to go to Hoover Dam and then on to some Indian ruins in Arizona and New Mexico. I have read about and seen pictures of some very interesting places. What is the best way to see several of these in some sort of organized way? I know we can't possibly see them all, but would like to see as many as possible. We have been to the Utah parks and Mesa Verde. If you have any suggestions, please let me know. Thanks, Barbara
